"Community minded, kind, involved, and helpful. Everyone looks out for one another and is respectful. "
  • Bzfngc2yhq
"In Tahitian neighborhood access to nature trails and golf, downtown is neat, many activities down town. "
  • tval98
"Good parks, good schools, great walkAbility, good churches and good restaurants. Safe and well maintained homes. Safe to cycle"
  • John Dove
"Small town: 12 mins or less to get just about anywhere. Trying to buy a house here. The town does seem to be expanding."
  • Oscar Rodriguez
"Only 30 minutes to most amenities in Austin. Very close and easy access to the airport. My wife and I go to Austin Friday and stick around in Bastrop on the weekend. "
  • Belinda.mangum
"I live in a gated community with a good HOA. There is lots of wildlife here. The neighbors look out for each other. "
  • Kathleen A.
"Halloween trick or treating is a huge event on Pecan St. There is an annual music festival and lots of live music at Neighbors Kitchen and Yard. Tons of parades in the fall and spring. "
  • Mario A.
"There is a fenced-in dog park just behind Whataburger. Most dog owners pick up after their dogs but there are a few who don’t. "
  • Mabvn
"There are lots of other dog owners around and people take good care of their dogs and let each other know if there are any lose dogs around so that if anyone recognizes them they can let their Owners know. "
  • Richard M.
"Small town atmosphere with a classic old town district. Close enough to Austin for easy access to big city items, but with big supermarket and department chains available within city limits. The Lost Pines ecology and Colorado River make it a unique place to live."
  • Mabvn
"The neighborhood is beautiful and very safe. The deer roam freely and u often see roadrunners crossing the road. There are no rentals allowed where I live and the HOA keeps a tight rein so the yards are beautiful. Honestly , it’s paradise until the water bill comes during the summer or when the HOA fee is deducted from your checking account every month. On the other hand, the homes hold their value, the homeowners are kept informed of anything happening in the neighborhood and the gym, pool and amenities center are always clean and in good shape. "
  • Mabvn
"There is a 2 dog per household limit in my subdivision. I believe you are also allowed two Cats. I have yet to hear someone being fined for having too many animals and ignoring HOA guidelines, but it could definitely happen. "
  • Jbalusek23
"Getting together with neighbors and having an eye out for each other. I always feel safe living here and being gone from home. "
  • Bortner15
"Tahitian Village is unique first of all because of the names of the roads they are all very Hawaiin names. "
  • Jwetsel57
"We have community dinners and interest groups that get together monthly for dinner and entertainment!"
  • Fucius H.
"I work out of town going further out into the country so traffic is not an issue for me just yet. But I would like the bridge by my house repaired to give me another exit out of the community "
  • Alexis M.
"walking downtown or driving around is the best way to do anything. not too much public transportation "
  • Karenfarrier
"There are neighbors here that let their dogs roam loose making it unsafe for the dogs and for people walking or riding bikes. "
  • Ronnie M.
"Nice people walking well behaved dogs. Quiet neighborhoods with well kept sidewalks. If a pet is found wandering most folks will post a notification on lost & found social media."
  • Vicky L.
"The people are very neighborly. The town is clean and has some historic sites. It has the Colorado river running right through the town and some great restaurants right on the river where you can sit outside on the patio and watch the sunset and enjoy the live music that they have on weekends and watch the river or go for a walk on the river walk."
  • Annalisenwilson
"People walk their dogs on a leash. You never see stray dogs roaming around. Dogs are kept safely in their yards."
  • Amber H. .
