5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe really enjoyed our time at this school. Our daughter will need to transfer because they do not offer a full time gifted program. I hope someday they will have the ability to do so because this school is amazing. The community and neighborhood are amazing, I will never forget how welcoming they were to our daughter. Especially because she transferred in the middle of the year. I also have to give kudos to the public school system for identifying my daughter as gifted and bringing this to our attention. I'm a believer in this school and all public schoools.Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Jose De Diego Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is overall bad , and I’d suggest to NOT take your child here . There are barely teachers not only for core classes but also for electives, the PE class has NOTHING to do with physical education let alone the fact they don’t even stay in a actual gym let alone go outside or get grades. I don’t understand how a school can offer so much with no real learning to up-hold the offers. The children had to take thier SAT even though there was no algebra teacher to teach them the math material for the SAT. Punishment between student conflict can be unfair which leads children to be withdrawal. Not all the teachers that work there are professional . And if you notice the events it’s only seniors and rarely the other grade levels showing what they prioritize. I would suggest to not bring your child here . Thier mental stress would be heightened going to this schoolParent Review1mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 200 SE 1st St.

"Worst traffic commute in Miami. Takes up 15 to 30 mins to travel 1 mile. If you catch the bridge, add 15 additional mins and say a prayer. "

"It is good , expensive and busy . Night life is near by and everything is close as well . Young people mainly and some old ones . Police is always around and also low class people because overtown is right around the corner . There are a lot of homeless people around as wel . Venesian causeway is 2 blocks away . You can skate and ride bikes , run and fish . There is a lot of People around . "

"beautiful views, but access to parks can be limited. the city often rents out the main park in the area, bayfront so it’s not available to the public, leaving museum park to be the only option. "

"None whatsoever. This place is dirty, no respect for the neighbors , for people that live here. Always some party going on at the parks so it’s almost never available for the residents. And if it is it’s dirty and messed up. "

"I love living downtown. It’s walkable to so many places and close by car to literally everything. It’s also gritty and up and coming which is important to me - it adds character and a sense of home for me. If you like urban, a little gritty, and totally walkable this is the best place in Miami by far. "

"There’s always something to do or to see. Downtown is the heart of the city, the neighborhood that unite the luxurious with the artistic, the different cultures and the different realities, the good, the bad and the ugly of Miami, and of USA in general. It’s all wrapped in Downtown."
