Spacious FURNISHED room with PRIVATE EN-SUITE BATH and private stair available 6/1/25 for monthly lease-HOPEFULLY LONG TERM. Other lodgers are quiet, friendly, single adults, all working full time. This historic 1785 home was fully restored and renovated in 2006 and sits on a lovely landscaped rural lot just outside of Willimantic. Rent includes ALL utilities; Electric, On-demand hot water, Heat, Central Air,Wi-fi, and off-street parking. Owner is on-site and performs all maintenance promptly. All rooms in the house have original Chestnut floors and period furnishings as well as oriental-style carpets, While the mattress sets are all new.

No smoking inside-we currently have no smokers on the property! (but 420 friendly OUTSIDE!)
No pets (even visiting)- Owner has 4 small dogs but they live in the studio out back. We also have one large inside/outside cat; he is not allowed on the second floor.
Parking is generally assigned by seniority and/or needs; many options exist!
The lease is monthly, with a three month minimum, but we prefer that lodgers stay long term and encourage it. Most people here are long term.

    "I lived in this area for 26 years. It has always been a great neighborhood! You have plenty of privacy while still being close to others to feel comfortable and supported. It is a great neighborhood for children or retirees. Beacon Rd. is only five miles from downtown where there are several restaurants and a variety of shopping for food and other needs. The schools do not get the credit that they deserve, but they are very progressive and they offer a variety of educational support services, both for the students and the staff. The student population is diverse and there is a brand-new state-of-the-art science-based school for grades K thru 8. They offer a variety of sports and other extra-curricular activities; football, soccer, track, swimming, baseball, softball, wrestling and tennis. They also offer before and after-school child care programs for grades K thru 8. There is a State University in the town of Willimantic, Eastern CT State University and UCONN (the University of CT') is only 17 miles away. Manchester CT is only about 25 miles away and there is all the shopping and stores that you could think of available there. Beacon Rd. has always been a great neighborhood to live in and to raise our kids in. It is well known as one of the "better" areas of Windham/Willimantic. The people take pride in their properties and the area has maintained a good value, even through these difficult times. There is ample parking for family and friends and the road is well maintained.
