8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is way over rated here on Great schools especially with Pender County passing a new bond for more elementary and middle schools. The past super Dr.H has a professional study done and the school is already overcrowded, the teachers do not get paid well and by 2030-31 the school will have over 36% more students because of the over building here! There is no funding by the county for sports or extra activities, staff changes often due to poor wages and ultimately the kids suffer. They do not support children with learning disabilities (there is no special ed), the staff and SROs do not do their jobs, and here it is all about how much money you have will determine your social class or how you are treated!Parent Review1mo ago - Topsail Middle School

They have mold in the bathrooms, and with tests, they do not take it seriously at all, all they do is joke around. In it's first graduating class alone, students have all been accepted to competitive universities including Harvard University, and received pretigious scholarships such as the Morehead-Cain scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill. "Great vacation place. We visit here as often as we can . Quiet , laid back beautiful beach . We always plan to come back every year. The people are very nice . Lots of places to shop and not the big city beaches . Not a party beach . Great family vacation spot "

"This is a wonderful coastal living area. Mostly single family residential homes with limited parking and beach access for non-residents. Beach is wonderful, with very few major storms hitting the area due to its proximity to the Atlantic."

"Surf City and Topsail Island are the best kept beach secrets on the East Coast. I have satyed in The Hamptons, the Jersey Shore, OBX and VA Beach, but for the money it's Topsail Island NC all the way!!"
