"I grew up here. Moved away for a while and then moved back. It’s safe, centrally located, no HOA, beautiful mature trees. "
  • Susanleger04
"Great commute except Mardi Gras time. Street is blocked for parades. No leaving or coming home during this time."
  • Susanleger04
"My commute to work is very short. Commute to Marcus Park in Girard Park. Gerrard Park is walking distance close routes to grocery store movie theater entertainment dancing!!"
  • Jhd1969
"This particular neighborhood has patio homes with little to no outdoor play area for children. Mainly retirement or near retirement aged couples. It’s adjacent to a family friendly neighborhood; and Lafayette in general is a great place to raise a family."
  • Susanleger04
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood over 2 1/2 years. This area is very safe and quiet! Neighbor’s are friendly."
  • Juliemw2020
"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 35 years now. It’s a nice neighborhood. Everyone pretty much stays to themselves. I like it like that."
  • Jaime Kidder
"You see people walking their dogs all the time or people out strolling their babies. It’s completely safe"
  • Cayla Cruse
"Make sure your home is in safe kid friendly neighborhood and check out parks and recreation and things fun for kids"
  • Madalyn Ramey

  • Margaret Bordelon
"I’ve lived here almost my whole life. It’s the biggest small town you’ll ever live in. I love it here. "
  • Lauralee Dugas Becker
"Very friendly and safe neighborhood. Close to everything. Wonderful neighbors, quiet and peaceful. "
  • Jhd1969
"My neighborhood is secluded but close to main thoroughfares. Typical rush hour traffic issues. There’s a bus stop not far from here, less than 1/2 mile "
  • Trulia User
"There are many families around here and a reasonable number of parks to amuse the young ones. Park maintenance is pretty awesome with only a scattered couple being in less than desirable locations. The sense of community is dependent on when and how often one chooses to engage with their neighbor but I’ve never met an unfriendly one. Animals are loved, but cats seem a little pervasive with fewer stray dogs. The individuals that do have dogs are rather lax with leashing policies and picking up their dogs poop though- likely due to the fact that no neighbor complains at seeing an off leash dog in the neighborhood. Otherwise it’s a great place to live. "
  • Chowpup
"Lots of people walking their dogs on a daily basis. Clean up after your dogs and no problems will occur. "
  • Trulia User
"Very quiet. Old-school types of suburbs are common in this area. Excellent value in terms of property size per dollar spent. "
  • Anonymous
"Some are walked with no leash . Lots of children running around . All else is ok. It’s quiet . Some of the property without homes on them the grass is long "
  • Freshstartat45
"Easy and convenient. I live 6 to 8 min from work so it usually is not a bad commute. It would be hectic if I lived further out and in other directions. "
  • Anonymous
"There aren’t any parks back here. It gets really flooded. It’s noisy from the gun range. The living spaces between each home is tight "
  • Daryl Joseph Moore
"I've lived here for one year and three months. The people are friendly, the restaurants are great and the food is terrific!"
  • susankelly81
