"Lived here my whole life. There’s good and there’s bad. As long as you mind your business, you should be okay I guess. "
  • Trulia User
"Not enough park area! Too much asphalt and cement! But the area is safe, quiet, and peaceful! The people here are friendly and mostly family oriented! The area is well kept, and a beautiful place to live!"
  • Pvalentin214
"the new dog park is big and it looks like fun for the dogs 🐕. most of the dog owners enjoy the park and its nice view is very close to restaurants and the best hot dogs in the area . if you like a walk there a 2 mile trail that you and your dog would enjoy alot ."
  • Onieliad
"We don’t have much, but we do have an annual block party. All the neighbors cine together over food and music."
  • Onieliad
"I don’t like that some people don’t pick up after their dogs. I also don’t like how little care the sanitation department takes when taking up the trash, broken glass everywhere. I do like the proximity to Branch Brook Park."
  • Rockinrah
"It’s not the neighborhood it’s just some people are very uneducated on life period they have it’s good parts and bad just stay out the bad areas "
  • Tinoquezada
"Really dangerous neighborhood, police need to be more involved. Needs to be cleaned up big time. People need to change their ways. "
  • Iyiolaatinuke
"Nice environment to live you’re going to like it I don’t know about the school but nice supermarket "
  • Hcilhorf M.
"The ironbound area is an overpriced arwa for what it offers. The best thing about living here is that it is close to Newark Penn Station. but it is jot a safe area (mainly Northeast side). The pipes have not been changed for decades, I'm talking about the tubulation that goes from the city into the ironbound, which means that there is a high level of lead in the water. If you decide to live here, make sure to do some water testings and also to install a great water filter."
  • Victor A.
"It would be nice if people have like a little play section for animals also it would be nice for the city to put waste bag in each corner."
  • Monica T.
"There are no parks or playgrounds within a 10 minute walking distance. There are no supermarkets nearby."
  • Cynthiadocexp
"Newark have one of the worst services as a tax payer when we call for police most of the time they don’t even show up u be lucky if they come. We have a huge problem with pan handling, prostitution and junkies"
  • Anjil R.
"it has great access to the grocery store and transportation it's a friendly neighborhood kids play together community gets together and have block parties the people look after eachother "
  • Señora
"I drive to work and I’m there in five minutes, so my commute is not bad. I will say my commute to frequently visited places like Target and Marshall is easy."
  • Newark G.
"It's beautiful I know a lot of people. Most of them are in the same hood for ova 25 years... How Eva we remain calm to all the great things going on in our community.. "
  • Ashley S.
"I feel like if you don’t bother no one, no will bother you. It’s not the best of neighborhoods, but it’s decent. "
