Description

Large, beautiful home in the Walnut Hill neighborhood in the Pittsford school district! Home is 3012+ square feet PLUS a partially finished basement, on a .45 acre corner lot. Vaulted and 9-foot ceilings throughout give this home a very open, airy feel. Spacious kitchen with stunning Brazilian granite countertops and an undermount stainless sink just a year old. Some pull-out shelving in the kitchen cabinets, in addition to the pantry! Formal living and dining rooms. Gas fireplace and soaring vaulted ceilings in the large family room. Two bedrooms (including master) on the main level, both with walk-in closets and their own full bathrooms. Master bedroom has a tray ceiling and crown molding. Master bathroom has his & her sinks plus a Jacuzzi jetted tub. Tiled mud room off the garage. Two bedrooms--both with vaulted ceilings--and a full bathroom upstairs, along with a very large bonus room which could be used as a bedroom since there is a walk-in closet in the hallway nearby. The basement has a bathroom, and a large rec room, and a very large bedroom with a mural hand-painted by a local artist and a large walk-in closet,. The unfinished half of the basement allows for plenty of storage and has a workshop area, built-in shelves, and a utility sink. The house has a central vacuum system, including a handy outlet in the garage! Lots of space, lots of closets & storage. Great, friendly neighborhood, too. With only two streets in the neighborhood (ending in a cul-de-sac), only local traffic comes through. Schools are Mendon Center Elementary, Barker Road Middle, and Pittsford-Mendon High, all within 3 miles. See a video tour of this beautiful home at https://vimeo.com/92773999. "I love my town, I feel part of a close knit community. Pittsford is so beautiful it’s like living in a Norman Rockwell painting. Especially during the holidays, enjoying a horse drawn carriage rides and festivities. Schools are some of the best in the state. The Erie Canal has much to offer, especially Shoen place. You can enjoy kayaking, crew racing, boating, walking, running, biking, restaurants and you can walk to everything in the village! I’ve owned a business and lived here In the village for 27 years. It’s home... "

"very quiet and surrounded by nature. there are large farms and stately single family homes. it is close to Pittsford and is in one of the best school districts in New York and the United States. "
  • Wezopierson
"The only things missing in the Village of Pittsford are a grocery store and a pharmacy within walking distance. Although you can get a lot of food at the Pittsford Dairy. It is a great place to live. "
  • Harley D.
"I've Lived in this part of New York State all my life, and in my 72 years, have visited 47 of the other states and have found no other area that compares. If you love proximity to nature, yet quick access to the most modern and up to date hospitals, medical facilities, malls and historical districts, then this is the place you're looking for. The four definite change of seasons here is unique in the US, Each of them is exactly three months in length so you never get bored with any one season. Gorgeous, mild springs. Moderately hot, mostly pleasant summers. Beautiful green, red and gold fall colors. And winters that provide the best of skiing (downhill and cross country), snowboarding, snow mobiles, skating, dog sled racing, etc. This area is dotted with countless hills, lakes and rivers, including the famous Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes. All within just a few miles. The hills, lakes and climate here are perfect for wine production and this area with it's dozens of wineries is reputed to rival the wine country areas of France for scenery and the quality of the wines produced. This Pittsford/Perinton area, is arguably the most desirable area to live in western New York state. There are dozens of large parks and hundreds of miles of trails in this county. A short walk on the trail (aka "linear park") on the other side of the road from this property leads to one of the two best, largest and historically interesting parks in the county, Powder Mills Park. Every day that I drive down to my hangar at the Canandaigua Airport (less than 20 minutes from this house), I pass by this home and have often thought about living there. Now that it's for sale, I may look into it for myself. "
