Though there were other owners of this property in 1970 Alice DeLamar, a prominent heiress and patron of the arts, purchased this house. She was also the owner of the Cobbs Mill Inn. This property has also served as an Inn and a two-family house. Updated features include new roof on house and garage, freshly painted inside and outside, new above ground oil tank, and new gutters. This is a must see

    "The town is gear toward families with children as opposed to couples with grown children or retirees. The schools and activities for kids are top notch. However, the cost of living is very high due to the property taxes assessed to support the school system. There is no industry and only a small business base to defray taxes in this primarily bedroom community."

    "With two acre zoning, houses are spaced apart which is why walkability is low. But shopping and restaurants abound in neighboring towns with good access. The school system would rival many private schools. Lots of trees and wildlife. It's just plain beautiful."
