My 3 children went through FLMS and FLHS and had wonderful experiences. They were all different and each participated in athletics , many clubs and engaging classes. They were challenged with AP's and Honors and also got college credit from SUPA classes. The teachers are caring and the music and arts programs are fabulous. My favorite thing about FLHS is there is a friend for everyone. The guidance department was also so helpful and my kids all went to excellent colleges that they were full prepared for.

The MS does a great job preparing students for HS, the teachers are engaged and administration works hard to make every student count. They are serious about the school moto CARES and strictly enforce it. Many clubs and sports options. Very Happy I moved into the community, great families.

I have worked at BVES for 3 years. I’m also a former student now turned employee. No one here who left a review knows what actually goes on in this school. I work there and it’s a dumpster fire. There are no consequences for bad behavior of students. Students constantly talk back to adults and aides are not allowed to impose consequences on students. In the cafeteria, rules are not followed. At recess, rules are also not followed even though the aides try to enforce them. When students are written up for bad behavior, nothing happens, they continue acting the same way. The principal does not address behavior concerns and give consequences to students. Some of the staff also get away with slacking off and leaving early, half the aides are good at their job like myself and half are useless. Additionally, there are out of control special ed students who are mixed into the general Education program. General Ed students are exposed to daily tantrums, violence , and outbursts. The administration does not support the aides and gave no training what so ever to the aides. When I first started working here, I was never trained nor given any guidance on how to conduct my job. Just thrown in to it. All the teachers, aides, and staff complain and talk to each other about the concerns with student bad behavior, and complain and highlight the principals lack of action. Principals are too afraid to do anything in these situations because they face retribution from parents or lawsuits. It is a complete nightmare to work there.
