NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Richmond High School is not a school that one should expect will prepare a student for any type of higher learning. The teaching staff, most particularly math and science, are not properly trained. It is unfortunate that the general disposition of the majority of the teachers is to do only that which is minimally necessary. A parent cannot expect her/his student to have even a rudimentary knowledge of math or science after graduating from this school. On the other hand, the music and art programs are well run, with competent teachers. Another downside to the school is that there is too much emphasis on winning basketball and soccer games than actually teaching kids something useful.
