3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children and I have had nothing but fantastic experiences at HHI SCA. The teachers have been wonderful, open, easy to communicate with, loving, etc. All things a parent hopes for in a teacher. The administration is also very easily accessible, and eager to help your child have the best experience they can. My children have continued to thrive at this school.Parent Review9y ago - Hilton Head Island International Baccalaureate Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe couldn't be happier with Hilton Head International Bac. This is one of the few elementary schools that offers challenging immersion courses in both Chinese and Spanish. More importantly, they focus on teaching children to accept new cultures and ideas. Our daughter was allowed to start a difficult Chinese immersion class mid-year and was given a warm welcome despite being the new kid from a European country who spoke a foreign language. She was greeted with enthusiasm and curiousity. The teachers are excellent, the principal and school staff are well organized and do a great job keeping parents informed and involved. I've read a couple of reviews from other parents who like to refer to their children as "gifted" or in the top "%" who seem to have unrealistic expectations of special treatment for their kids. Hilton Head IB provides quality education to all of it's students. If you want a well balanced child who develops excellent communication skills and a broader understanding for how the world works I would strongly recommend Hilton Head International Bac. If you want to obsess over your child getting special treatment maybe you should have them pampered in a private school.Parent Review11y ago - Hilton Head Island High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has had an overall positive experience at this school. Middle school is a hard age and I believe with the new principal, who the kids really respect, it's getting even better. It's sad that sometimes the only people who write reviews on here are parents who are mad or upset with a certain circumstance. People who cannot say one nice thing about the school and give 1 star on every question are obviously not ever at the school to see not only what these teachers have to deal with every day, but how caring and helpful many of them are. I am an involved parent and guess what? Some teachers are better than others, just like some bosses are better than others and some parents are better than others. This is life and I am grateful that my kid has to learn how to get along with different kinds of students and faculty...it will only serve him better in his life. Our school is filled with staff that cares about your child's education and that's all we can ask for. Oh yeah...even while getting paid practically nothing to deal with all these children...God bless them!I have friends with kids in both private and public schools here and don't think for a second that by sending your kid to private schools here, all your problems are solved. Many of our friends who go private ultimately come back to our public schools at some point. So, with that, I'm giving our school all 5 stars in hopes to offset all the negative nellies out there who love to complain. Sure our school could be better, and if you think so too, get involved in making it better. Your kids will appreciate it too :)Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2 Belted Kingfisher Ln.

"Life here is awesome! The weather is great. The food is incredible. The people here are friendly and getting around is super easy. All you need is a bicycle and a little spending money. It’s a pet friendly community. Just don’t walk your pet around the ponds at night. There are alligators. But that’s common sense. "
