Residents in the area have private wells for water, propane tanks for gas and septic systems for sewer. Edwards Air Force Base is less than a miles north of the property. The base is home to the Air Force Test Center, Test Pilot School and NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center. Many experimental aircraft has been tested and flown at Edwards.
