8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average32 is a very special community. My daughter adores every aspect of this school and I cannot recommend it enough. All of the staff and teachers knew my daughter's name in pre-k. We received offers from both 29 and 58 for kindergarten and we chose to stay at 32. Strong leadership, wonderful teachers, great selection of specialty classes, fantastic afterschool program.Parent Review1mo ago41 Reviews - Ms 51 William Alexander

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to be a student at this shook and I hated it. The teachers were mostly bad and some were really nice. The students around me were so rude and harmful. They would always bully and hurt other students around me and others. The new principal, Mr. Chan or chen is bad, I have realized myself that he only cares about the school reputation and not the students. When another student attacked me I had to run home because of how scared i was. Two students that I thought were my friends followed me half way and kicked me before running off back to school so they wouldn’t get caught…when I ran home to my mom she was furious and had to call my dad to get out of work to come with me back to the school to help me. One of my closest best friends who tried to help me, their mom came along too with her grandma to support and help me. I was in pain. When we arrived back to the school with my parents and them, the principal was “too busy” and “ was in a meeting” ! Who does that ! And he is a principal! I was halfway through seventh grade and had to experience this….i got transferred to a much better school! Ms447!! It is much cleaner with better teachers and students!!!! I graduated with my now even most closest friends…I have never felt so happy! ( I don’t recommend this school ) P.S I was a student…Other Review10mo ago23 Reviews - Brooklyn Secondary School For Collaborative Studies

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith providing, true, qualitative data: A true community of deep learning. If you looking for a school where you are expected to "fit the mold", look elsewhere. If you are looking for a school where you expanding the mold, look no further. BCS is part of a consortium schools with a longstanding, transformative educational framework, expanding on its already robust arts, science, ELA and Math programs. Also incorporated are innovative extracurricular enrichment programs for students to figure out how they contribute their time, talents and gifts to. Many students are able to find their place in the school from the very first day ( at student/family orientation, during school tours, first day of school) while some eventually find their path with the true guidance, support and encouragement that BCS' teachers, school admin leaders, staff and overall community provides. As a parent, it is a true honor and wonderful experience to behold when seeing the students in their element of overall professional presentation with PBATs. What they have been learning throughout the year/semester is dynamically put into their words, while simultaneously watching their analytical, critical-thinking, interpersonal, public speaking, effective communication and engagement skills in action. Every chance I get to walk through their halls, sit in their classrooms, and I walk many kinds of school halls and sat in many classrooms in NYC alone- its never a perspective of just another school, but actually preparedness for their future levels of life, whether its college or any structured paths that lead to their overall success. I highly recommend this learning environment to any student whose aims are to always level up.Parent Review1mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 2 2nd Ave.

"There are a lot of parks and many young children in the area. It is a decent area for kids, although it is urban. "

"Good. Sometimes the F train is really packed. Overall it is not too bad generally but when it is bad it’s really bad. "
