6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen we purchased our house in 2021 amid the bidding wars, based on feedback from other community members, we made a house within this school's boundary high on our list. My child started at this school in second grade and is now in fourth grade. I think the administration, teachers, paraeducators, and counseling staff put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and engaging environment for students. My child absolutely adores the garden. There are also alternative learning options available through programs such as EXCEL. I do wish there was a bit more communication from teachers in general about the positive things our children achieve throughout the year, but I understand they are very busy with limited time resources. Overall I think Illahee does a good job at fostering an adaptive learning environment to meet many different types of needs where everyone feels welcome.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - Shahala Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school has been awful to say the least..I've never been bullied seriously until I got to this school, and the punishments are so underwhelming. The kids at this school are so hateful for no reason, and the teachers turn a blind eye. There are fights at school atleast once a weekKids always make disgusting jokesAnd even the teachers aren't safe.. one time a teacher got SLAPPED by one of the kids at the school.I've been ruthlessly bullied by multiple kids at this school, and those kids only got a slap on the wrist.it works this way .. "You need to report every incident multiple times for the bully to get in trouble."You basically have to suffer MORE for any consequences to happen. It just feels like they are making me grow up way faster then I should be and it's exhaustingThis school is the reason why I've fallen into a deep depression multiple timesEither you become a victim and get bullied just for being yourself, or you become a bully yourself to avoid being a victim. It's sad, really.Student Review4mo ago21 Reviews - Union High School

With consistently high 9th Grade On-Track Rates and a track record of sustained improvement, Union High School has proven time and again that they are truly exceptional in their approach to education. The implementation of the CHSS Roadmap at Union High School is nothing short of exemplary. The school's leadership and faculty have wholeheartedly embraced this framework, creating an environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential. The impressive 9th Grade On-Track Rate of over 90% across multiple years is a testament to the effectiveness of this approach.Kudos to the Titans of Union High School for their remarkable achievement! The dedication, hard work, and unwavering support provided by the school's staff and administration have undoubtedly contributed to this well-deserved recognition. It's clear that Union High School is committed to providing a first-class education and ensuring the success of their students. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Union High School to any student and parent seeking an exceptional educational experience. "I work in the next town over, Washougal. It’s a nice quiet commute. Over the years though the area has grown and the streets are getting a little busier. Though I can’t complain, it’s still pretty smooth and quiet. "

"This neighborhood has gone down significantly since cutting the amazing forest down that split the neighborhoods between Sierra and Dahlia. Plus lots of noise, construction, vagrants, theft, and constant police."
