  • Brooke D.
"Lots of park around for unleash running. Decent areas to walk. Limited grass around apartment buildings. Lots of construction currently makes it hard and unsafe to walk in short north. "
  • Susancarolorlos
"Public transport is fair. Busses only and they run late due to overwhelming congestion in the downtown area."
  • Kenzie M.
"Columbus Flea is probably the coolest event that happens in the neighborhood, but don’t give up your street parking spot on those days unless you won’t be home until after the event ends."
  • Dominique M.
"it is a very dog friendly area. Great places to walk your dog and many parks. also many places in the short north are dog friendly "
  • Margaret
"Goodale park has a dog park within it, and is nearby. People often walk dogs around the neighborhood. "
  • Jeffawatson
"Great restaurants and nice people. There is always something going on in and around the area. Short walk to High Street."
  • Mesimo1
"Nice new little restaurants popping up. Easy to walk to all the short north fun but far enough away to relax "
  • Dudyn2
"Close to campus and town of Starkville ms and ms State university. Everybody know mostly everybody and it is a very friendly community to live and stay in. I have friends that live ther on weekends that I went to school with some 50 years ago so that makes it special"
  • Jonas h.
"Hands down the best value in Columbus; clean, safe, convenient, historic, and way more affordable than Victorian Village just two blocks away. Growing up in San Francisco, I can think of very few other places in the US that I would live - this particular part of Columbus is one of them, because it really is more than a neighborhood, it's a community. Yes, there are a couple run-down homes and businesses as you move away from High Street - but there are also boutiques, a micro-distillery, galleries galore, and an active slow-food movement in the neighborhood."
