3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI started kindergarten at Clara Barton in 1945 while WWII was still going on. At that time, our house was just across am alley from the school and I could walk from the backyard. It started me on my school career and I remember it to this day. I don't recall the teacher's name gut she was marelous. We had so much fun in that class because of her.Other Review4y ago - Jordan High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was hesitant about sending my child to school here but the 3 years that have been attending have been mostly good. There are a lot of kids that do not take school too serious and have been involved in fighting, if your child is not this type of child, he/she will do well here. I have a few family that have also gone to this school and they have even graduated college/university. This school prepares students that are willing and have the support of their family to learn. The majority of the staff is awesome, only thing that I can complain about is lack of communication when it comes to any safety/fights. We are not notified as parents of what goes on.Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 1960 E Jackson St #1.

- Lisa S.

"I live here. There is a warm cozy feeling in this neighborhood. People are always jogging down my street or walking their dogs. There are many tree lined streets in this tract, with charming old historic homes. There's nothing cookie cutter about this area. We have old spanish style, cottages and bungalows. The people here are friendly, and welcoming. Shops and restaurants are at walkable distances. The freeways are conveniently located without being too close to hear. The weather is perfect, being only 4.5 miles away from the ocean. This part of Long Beach is the perfect compromise between L.A. and Orange county. I absolutely love it!"
