About this House

A beautiful two-story 3-bedroom/2 bathroom quiet sunlit private sanctuary home located in the heart of North Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto neighborhood. An additional glass-enclosed sun room overlooks the redwood deck with a tranquil rose garden with apple and lemon trees. Custom eat-in kitchen with cherry wood cabinets.

The house is bright and sunny with lots of windows and natural light. Most of the floors are original hardwood from 1907, and we just refinished all the floors on the first floor. The whole inside of the house has just been painted, and the roof was replaced last year.

There are lots of large closets in the house, a walk in closet in the largest bedroom, a large entry hall closet and a linen cupboard in the upstairs hall.

Amazing location - a short walk to the UC Berkeley Campus & Downtown Berkeley/North Berkeley BART (less than 2 minutes by bike or car). Downtown Oakland is 12 minutes and Downtown San Francisco is 24 minutes by BART. A few blocks from restaurants/cafes, shopping and transit, including Chez Panisse, Saul's, Cheeseboard Pizza, Thursday Farmer's Market, the original Peet's, Andronico's, Trader Joe's, Safeway, CVS/Walgreens, etc. Perfect for a family - within walking distance of Berkeley Arts Magnet (K -5), Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School and Berkeley High School.

Home is offered unfurnished. Tenant pays for all utilities except for garbage - gas/electricity, water. Landlord pays for monthly garden maintenance. First month and security deposit (equal to one month's rent) due upon lease signing. No smoking. Free unlimited street parking for up to 2 cars with City of Berkeley "E" Permit Sticker. Pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with a $500 additional deposit.

It's quiet, close to the university. 10 min walk from Downtown Berkeley BART, 3 movies theaters, Groceries (Safeway, Walgreens) and a lot of restaurants. Berkeley gourmet ghetto is 4 blocks away. In addition to that, you're very close to Berkeley Hills and Tilden park. Top neighborhood."
