Description

TWO BEDROOM (COUNTING WORKOUT/GUEST STUDIO) / ONE BATH ON A 4 ACRES WOODED RETREAT W/ HOTTUB AND SCREENED PORCH (UPPER RED HOOK)

We're looking to rent our guest house in Hudson Valley starting immediately. The house is a 1 bedroom (plus a separate guest bedroom in a separate studio), 1 bath in a forest with windows onto the woods (Shields Rd, Red Hook, NY 12571). Perks include an outdoor hot tub (if desired), a screened in porch, 200 feet of trout stream, split units for heating and cooling, and a workout room in a separate studio where you can also put a house guest for short periods (it's shared with us-- we live in the main house on the property).

This is our "guest" house-- we also live on the property. It comes fully furnished. As repeated below in the lease terms: water, hot water, electric, propane, heat, cooling, internet are all serviced through the main house on the property and we pay those bills. We will add a flat fee of $250/month for these services. Tenant has the option to use the hot tub on the premises for an additional $150/month.

This is a very unique situation because you'll be on the same property as us. A good relationship and friendly vibes are important. The house is on the small side, but the setting and ammenities are special. All folks are encouraged to inquire, but we suspect the ideal tenants will be a couple using the place as a second home while they learn about the area and decide whether or not to purchase their own place. As noted, the house comes furnished-- so it is perfect for part time use without the stress of furnishing a place. Up to a year ago, we rented it on AirBnB.
