No idea how they got a bad review... especially Mr. Schnaus. This was the best school I ever dealt with in 20 years of parenting. I moved to this area just so my child could go here based on the state grade of 9/10. Their not only good with test & education scores... but extremely attentive to each student & focused fully on education, not politics & funding. The staff is very flexible & understanding with various issues. The principal Mr. Schnaus is so kind, warm, patient & gentle with the kids. They are strict about school boundaries & attendance. But expected from a school this good. My kid had many missed days, as our family was going through a lot that year. I got several kind warnings, the last was a meeting. I didnt feel scolded, but like they honestly wanted to help. Mr. Schnaus learned i moved & didn't kick my kid out of school mid year... like some would.... long as it didn't affect her attendance. The pickup drop off routine is the most organized i have EVER seen at a school. And they make sure all kids are in before shutting doors. Some schools don't. The communication & parental involvement is outstanding. My kids last school never sent papers home and parents were not included in anything. This school was SO the opposite. I knew everything she was doing and never felt left out. I'm so so sad I had to move. So many good teachers here... such warm welcoming staff... & a principal who sets all those standards by example. Thank you Mr. Schnaus, Ms. Beaty, Mrs. Smith & Ms. Allen.

This school is truly amazing! The first time I stepped foot in the building, for "parent orientation" I felt it!!! The feeling is indescribable but it is a feeling of true caring, involvement, adult control, appropriate expectations etc. etc.! I don't know what the magic is in this town but the schools are the best and in my opinion the middle school is the most outstanding of them all!! <3 I purchased my home here 4 years ago because I heard about the schools and I am incredibly happy I did!! They are wonderful and my kids are getting a top notch education in a diverse system that EXPECTS all student to learn and do their best each day!! Go sparkplugs!! xoxo

I do not reccomend this school. If you think about sending you child to this school think again. The school spent half a million dollars on a football and new track feild (previously the school already had both and they were fine and not notiblty rundown.) while most of their water fountains are broken. There are mice in the classrooms and there have been multiple accounts of students seeing them. The food typically is undercooked and hard to eat. The vice prinipal has targeted students since he was appointed. there are very few options you have for extracuriculars and or pathways, they focus on mainly technical, which usually wouldn't be a bad thing but they neglect the other departments, such as making the art teacher pay out of pocket for class essentials, as well as cutting the budget for all art departments. While they did improve the field they haven't updated the theater/autitorium in years and the floor is splintering and is a hazzard to the students, as well as their badly timed construction making just getting inside the school extremely hard, and when the contruction was happening they gave no leniency to the students for being late dispite this being a problem they caused, and when students were told they would be given some leeway the staff ignored it and continued to punish their lateness (once again it was the vice principal who also had told the student in the first place that they would be forgiven for their lateness due to the fact the school had caused it).
