Don’t let your student attend Deer Valley if you are new to the area and your student doesn’t already have a friend base. Students at Deer Valley are rude, and will bully and alienate your student to the point your student will feel worthless and humiliated. Deer Valley promotes community and belonging but that is only if your student is already part of the “community “ and not new trying to become part of the community.

This school is absolutely one of the worst schools in the Deer Valley School Districts the teachers will not respond back to phone calls or messages you cannot get ahold of the principal she will not return your calls. The principal is always out of the office or in a meeting they have no concern about your children If your child gets in trouble for some stupid reason you bet you get a call from the school but they wont return your call if you have a concern.They are there just to get a paycheck they dont care about the kids.I can keep going on about how bad this school is but instead I will just remove my kid out of this school. The school district should do a real hard investigation into the teacher/ principal. No star's from me.

This has been one of the most disappointing elementary school experiences I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, this concern extends beyond a single issue and includes teachers, office staff, and school leadership. I have personally witnessed staff members behaving in ways that I consider rude and disrespectful toward children, parents, and visitors.It is troubling that children are expected to demonstrate respect toward peers and adults when there appears to be a significant lack of respectful behavior being modeled by some of the adults in the building. Children learn by example, and the current environment does not consistently reflect the standards of respect that are being demanded of them.Additionally, I share the concerns of other parents that incidents of bullying are not being adequately addressed, and that the school often appears to turn a blind eye to these issues.One positive development this year is the principal’s decision to step down, and I hope this leadership change creates an opportunity for meaningful improvement. I sincerely hope the district and Board of Education step in sooner rather than later to ensure that necessary changes are made to better support the students and families of this school.
