3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy student is an honor roll student great attendance ,, does not cause any problems. he made one mistake in the lunchroom sliding a fork across the table, which he wasnt the only one. his punishment is thrown out of school for 3 days and 2 days in school, and it has also affected seating in the lunchroom, and not allowed to go on a field trip with the club he s involved in. schooling at gactc, attendance and grades, all for sliding a fork across the table, and wasnt told before hand of the consequences. i no longer have trust or respect for the school district or staff. i think there as been no common sense used and the huge punishment does not fit the crime in this case.Parent Review9y ago2 Reviews - Altoona Area Jr High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat, i attended when i was a child, and it has improved significantly since then . The new things that have been added since then are more student and parent interactive. the birthday celebrations, for lunch, the family assemblies, the other activities that involve family members , are all good character building, helping the child's self esteem . My granddaughter attends Penn Lincoln and I am involved in her education as well as both her parents. last year she attended claysburgh kimmel there was not any family involved activities that i could attend with or for her. .. She is also in a reading program where she brings books home daily to read, she reads to me daily, improving her reading skills. there is a zero tolerance for bullying .. I witness a child being bullied after school and was afraid to walk home, the principle actually walked the child home. That is what I call dedication for the well being of your students . Penn Lincoln is improving 100% from former years.Other Review6y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 1900 18th St.

"My neighborhood is in a transitional phase. Half of my block is rental properties while the other half are single-family homes. My commute is nonexistent. "

"Nice neighborhood. People pick up after their dogs, close to lots of places to eat or grab things on the go. People are all pretty friendly and wave or say hello, lots of people who walk the neighborhood for exercise day and night."

"A neighborhood church hosts food trucks on Wednesdays in the summer and neighbors are generally very friendly. It's very common to see people out for walks/walking their dogs year-round. "

"Most homes on the area have small yards. Sidewalks are crumbling away, creating tripping hazards. I don’t see many dogs being walked in the area. "

"There is not a day that goes by where neighbors dont walk dogs by our house. I guess that could be positive OR negative depending on how well your dog gets along with other dogs."
