LME is wonderful, community based school. District zone lines were redrawn approximately 3 years ago, so now some students with addresses Prosperity and Pomaria also attend. Parents fight to find housing in this zone so their children may attend. Most grades have only 3 classes per grade, and a couple have four classes. MANY of the current teachers are from the area and are dedicated to making this a successful school for the students and community. The current principal is a former student of the school and her loyalty and commitment are obvious. I believe this is her dream job and has no plans to use it a stepping stone to school district office. The school promotes good morals and citizenship. The school has a VERY strong parent base which affects the PTO, fundraisers, extracurricular activities, community activities (ex: Spring Fling, Fun Run) and additional after school scholastic programs such as Math Olympiad, Math Night, and Reading Night. The teachers who work at the schools have great longevity, with many never teaching at another school. The school also participates in the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands' After School Program (bgcmidland.org).

its so dirty and the food is actually trash. there are roaches everywhere (dead and alive), the bathrooms dont really get clean, and there has been this one dead roach in the corner of that one class since I was a freshman. the food is terrible, I dont know a lot of students that actually eat all of the food. we're hungry, the food is just horrible.

Terrible. No support for a child with a disability
