"I live near here. Safety is outstanding. Neighbors know one another but are not partyers. If you know your neighbor, you know their dog! Biggest problem is complete lack of public transportation. Otherwise clean, quiet, and safe with a few excellent restaurants, a small produce shop, and lovely docks."

"I have lived on this Island part-time for over 25 years. One of greatest Beaches in North America at Ft. Desoto Park, dog friendly, and a mile away St. Pete's Beach and Passe Grille Beaches unbelievable. "Because this is located literally across the bridge from Fort DeSoto Park, the opportunities for recreation--biking, boating, roller-blading, running, walking, fishing, kayaking etc.---are pretty much unlimited. Crime is almost nonexistent in the area and the local facilities (tennis, softball, bike trails) are uncrowded and beautifully maintained. Really a wonderful area for families."
