"The area in and around Saucier has been blighted by trash and litter. Unfortunately, such natural beauty has succombed to people who apparently want to keep their home and car interiors spotless because they seem to throw their trash into the nearby ditch or out of the car window! I lived there for three years until recently and tried to collect litter daily but it was fruitless. It just keeps coming back. Litter information needs to be taught in the schools and then perhaps the children can educate the parents. It is such a shame that there is so much disregard for the environment. Our ancestors would be so ashamed to see what has been done. It was so stressful for me, I had to move away from it. Drive down highway 53 towards Saucier Lizana Rd and then turn North for starters. Turn East onto West Wortham towards Old Highway 49 for a continuation of your tour. By the time you are done on just this short route, you will be as appalled as me, guaranteed.
