"Public spaces are clean. Neighbors are quite and helpful. Michael Tully Park is my kids favorite place. Love this area. "
    • Del A.
"We are right across from Hillside Grade School. This is a 9/10 school by the Zillow rating. Our neighborsโ€™ children are our childrenโ€™sโ€™ friends. We celebrate holidays together as neighbors - ALL holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Diwali, Id, Rosh Hashana, Kwanzaa..."
    • G4gn0n

"i personally own a dog and i believe all dog owners would love this location. the neighborhood is friendly and iโ€™ve yet to meet someone who doesnโ€™t feel happy seeing a dog here. a lot of the residents are seen walking dogs here so itโ€™s safe to say that they are all welcome here"
    • Aspasha
"Great area for commuting to NYC. You will have a beautiful suburb life but you can still take NYC mass transit. You can take the bus to F train with one fare."
    • Sebastian David
"This neighborhood is diversed, peaceful, quite and safe.Every neighborhood has different landscapes and beautiful flowers. Most of the residents have been here for a long time.Itโ€™s close to everything, from transportation to grocery store."
    • Thefallen4178
"We have a block party once a year and we get to know each other. Other then that it really depends if there are anymore kids living in the area for anything Halloween related"
    • Sharise S.
"Thereโ€™s always friendly pet owners around! Most people pick up after their pets and the animals are trained!"
    • Danila R. D.
"lived here 25+ years , great schools . neighbors dont talk to eachother but its quiet and safe . right by the hospital , public transportation and LIRR"
    • Lawrence R.
"Nice neighborhood safe and diverse. Great school, good place to set roots for a family. Very close to all the major highways buses and LIRR."
    • Absentmindstate
"Very safe area, nicely maintained. Gets boring at times because there is not many parks in walking distance or activities for the youth. Schools are all of high quality but they lack ethnic and economic diversity. If you have kids, they will be raised in a very sheltered place here. If you want them to experience more contact with real world situations and people then dont move here. "
    • Lenia K.
"The neighborhood is nice and safe. The public transportation is good. The area is clean. There are many good restaurants in the area."
    • Teresa B.
"The New Hyde Park festival every summer. Some concert in our park. Fire Dept parade and our little baseball teams. Our community pools and affairs in general make this town unique. "
    • Idris_abedin
"Iโ€™ve lived here for 2 years now. And itโ€™s pretty good I feel. Thereโ€™s good transit options and decent shops around "
    • Jacklynquiles
"There are many Families. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. Many activities, restaurants and the neighbors are wonderful. Streets are always nice and tidy. There are many kids that play around the area and I would definitely feel safe with my kids playing around with the other children in the neighborhood. "
    • Susan D.
"Great schools!! Family and pet friendly. Great community! Easy access to public transportation. Beaches and malls close by!"

    • Nina D
"I've lived her for 26 years . AMAZING school district but the neighbors don't talk much. Everything's in walking distance and the LIRR is right there. 15-20 minute from the city. Public transportation everywhere. Nice place to have a family ๐Ÿ˜Š"
    • Jmandrin
"Itโ€™s private yet a short walk away are all the stores. I call it the Piazza. One side of street is floral park, one side garden city, ones side Stewart manor and lastly new Hyde park. "
    • Ebaltazar31
"Great community. Safe no crime ever. Everything is close by and walking distance. Everyone gets along "
    • Jmandrin
"My neighborhood has easy commute to Manhattan and easy access to shopping via car or within walking distance. The only bad thing is Sewanhaka Schook District. Although I live in the Village of New Hyde Park and pay extra Incororated Village taxes, we are stuck sending the children to Sewanhaka High School and the majority of kids there are poorly disciplined. There are drugs and alcohol more than other schools and the fist fighting is just ridiculous. The school tells me I am wrong but the kids that I know who are currently attending SHS send me videos of what goes on. "
    • Td4509@gmail.com
"proximity to Manhattan. Village maintains ordinances. Good school district. Neighbor friendly. Railroad is now being updated with safe crossings. Great restaurants and shopping."
    • Rajiv Pandit

    • DougNuccio
"Annual street fair, block parties and other fairs occur on a fairly regular basis in our area. Shopping is close by for groceries and other things as well."
    • Sunil b. g.
"Close to all major highways and close to LIRR railroad. There are also public buses and taxis nearby."

    • Doug n.
"Our neighborhood is within walking distance of train station and bus stops, a short drive to major parkways and the expressway. New Hyde Park is centrally located while remaining a pleasant neighborhood near major shopping centers and great restaurants. "
