  • Ron Layton
"Neighborhood is about 26 years old, so have many older folks who are gradually moving out and being replaced with younger families. Very good middle and high schools within a mile of neighborhood."
  • Lblbpint
"I actually live outside the city limits in a little town called Edneyville and it is very country with no sidewalks but beautiful."
  • Lblbpint
"We moved here in 2017 from FL to get away from the heat and overcrowding. The beauty of the mountains and people here made this home!!!"
  • Valerie Mccord
"Hendersonville quickly became my hometown. Very welcoming, kind people. Lots of resources, stores and parks available to most every part of Hendersonville that you visit. Itโ€™s also close to Asheville, which is just a fun, beautiful town lots of events and things to do there. I think my favorite thing in Hendersonville is probably the pinball museum. You pay one flat rate get a wristband and you can come and go as you please for the whole day right in the heart of downtown Hendersonville. "
  • Lblbpint
"Annual Apple Festival! Lots of apple picking farms and fruit n veggie stands. Beautiful parks, hiking trails, and drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway."
  • Kerry Sinclair
"Traffic moves fast on chimney rock road and there are some amber alerts. Otherwise itโ€™s a safe neighborhood "
  • Hugh Kimbrough
"Mountain proximity is a big feature here. Beautiful mountain town. Near Asheville. Price increases are the biggest drawback "
  • Trulia User
"I live just outside this neighborhood and find the people and homes to be friendly. The main road, Balsam, is a through road and occasionally has speeding vehicles. Also, neighborhood does not have sidewalks."
  • Trulia User
"yes we all have dogs my dogs Iโ€™ve never been happier anywhere else with picturesque mountain views, tall basking, trees, and kind, friendly neighbors. Itโ€™s a very positive natural beautiful environment to have your furry family members. The lots are large, so they have plenty of room to run around and play most houses here are fenced and private, which helps with barking when watching the passerbyโ€™s."
  • Trulia User
"lived in two homes in the area since 2012. its been a good place to grow up in and find my own roots in. Neighbors are nice. roads are well taken care of even in snow and ice. there is always pretty fast service the few times we've lost power. lots of critters and pretty sights and really good eats nearby. the schools are all excelent. couldn't ask for a better area."
  • Trulia User
"Neighborhood get togethers. Main Street parties, parades and special events. Apple festival and many excellent micro breweries. close to hospital and shopping and exercise. Great walking and bicycle trail. "
  • Trulia User
"we've been here 35 years and there is just no place like it. quiet, beautiful lake, wildlife. it has it all! "
  • Trulia User
"Quaint houses close to downtown and conveniences such as doctors, dental and grocery stores. Iโ€™m retired so I do not have to worry about commuting time. Traffic is generally light."
  • Mollybernard85
"Very clean and quiet area. Hendersonville has amazing schools and downtown has a lovely charm. We have beautiful pumpkin patches setting up for Halloween. Beautiful community!"
  • Michelle B.
"Best place to raise children. Very family orientated schools. family frendly place lots of apple farms , state park near by. lots of out door activities. "
  • Oz15071617
"Most commutes require transportation if you get beyond the city. However there is public transportation in the city. City is very walkable or accessible by bike. Traffic is very light in off peak hours but very heavy during the day due to influx of tourists and workers from out of the area. Bigger chain stores still very accessible via interstate, probably within 15 to 30 minutes depending on destination (Arden, Skyland, Asheville or Greenville). "
  • Ivonne N.
"There are many parks in our area with lots of families with children and pets. We love where we live and I hope you do too!"
  • Kellyatism
"Great small town feel. Friendly people. Multicultural. Lots of farms. 2 good community hospitals and a level 1 trauma center close also. Lots of doctors and dentist. Fun, family oriented festivals and events downtown. Good restaurants and conveniences like Sams club and grocery stores. "
  • 12mustachio
"occasionally Hendersonville will shut down the main street for events. Apple festival being the main one, but there is a lot of charm in this small town. "
  • Stephanie T.
"Anderson county is a wonderful place to raise. I am raising my three grandkids in Henderson County and I love the school system. The community bands together for the good of each other. We attend church 10 minutes from my house they offer school daycare and a wanna"
  • Vonschummer
"Nice quiet walkable neighborhood. Close to schools, churches, hospital etc. houses and lawns maintained. Close proximity to all conveniences such as big box hardware, multiple grocery stores to choose from. Only twenty minutes to the airport."
  • Trulia User
"We look out for each other, and itโ€™s a quite place. Thereโ€™s a lot of nature, also. There are get together, though we havenโ€™t attended. "
  • Unspecified
"Love the feel of living in a town instead of a city. Really feel safe and comfortable living here. Would recommend raising a family or retiring here."
  • Ray A. C. B.
"We have quite a few dog owners that walk them on a regular basis. There have been several on no leash, which could present a problem. It's not the dogs fault, just owners. "

  • Trulia User
"Downtown offers many different events year round that can be enjoyed by all members of the community."
