"You will love Brookings, it just big enough to provide you with the stores you need to get the products you need and has enough restaurants with truly good food. We don't eat out that much, so having a lot of restaurants is not important to us, but I know some people might like a few more places to shop and eat but there are more places within driving distance. What you can't get anywhere else are the peple and beauty of Brookings, everyone is so friendly and willing to help. In the four years we have lived here we have never heard anyone act out in a negative way to us or to anyone else. Brookings also offers the most beautiful place to live, no matter what you are doing you can't help but be in a good mood because everywhere you go, you see beauty. We also have many Parks and outdoor activities, there is some nightlife but it is more of an outdoors activity town than an party town. There is basically no traffic I love this, even during the what you might think is traffic hour there is no traffic, so if you're looking for a stress free drive you have found it. People respect our home town and try to keep it clean, littering is not something you see a lot of and we Brookings do not look kindling on it. You will also find a sense of community here, the kind you expect to find in a small town, not so that it interferes with your daily life but the kind where people genuinely care what happens to you.
