Opened in 1982, the present facility serves the communities in and around the City of Jackson located in the southern part of Clarke County. The area is primarily rural and the major industry is forest products. Rigorous academic honors classes along with en eclectic Career/Tech department helps JHS to be the best high school in the county. The athletic department is top notch having state championships in baseball and football. JHS strives to develop a learning community where teachers and students are constantly in the pursuit of knowledge that will produce competent members of society and effective members of the work force.Teacher Review11y ago
