6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an excellent school with outstanding teachers. While students sometimes feel overwhelmed by the volume of homework and tests—which can create stress for both them and their parents—the payoff is well worth it. Achieving strong grades and receiving a quality education gives students a real sense of pride in their accomplishments. As a parent of a student here, I couldn’t be more pleased with the school’s approach to teaching, discipline, and accountability.I also appreciate that the school maintains a traditional, conservative approach to education—one that focuses on real learning rather than political indoctrination. I hope they continue on this path so that students can thrive academically and grow into well-informed, independent thinkers.Douglas County schools continue to stand out as some of the best in the nation.Parent Review11mo ago19 Reviews - Ponderosa High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePonderosa may look like a good school on the surface, but ongoing issues with bullying and racial slurs make it a deeply concerning environment. Students especially African American students are reporting that they feel unsafe, unheard, and mistreated. School should be a safe, healthy place where every child can learn and grow, not a place where they’re subjected to racial harassment. This is particularly alarming in a school that is predominantly non-minority. Diversity is increasing in our communities, and schools should reflect that by fostering inclusivity and respect. There needs to be a clear, enforced rule or policy in place to defend minority students and hold offenders accountable. Without such measures, the school’s outlook remains outdated and harmful.Being called racial slurs while simply trying to get an education is completely unacceptable. Until meaningful changes are made, I cannot recommend this school for minority families. Students deserve a safe environment where they are supported, valued, and respected not one where discrimination is tolerated. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL !!!!Other Review11mo ago9 Reviews - Legacy Point Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal doesnt listen when it comes to bullying or preventing ongoing bullying. My chikd and I were unsupported with several attempts via email to principal to address bullying. Ended up being pushed out and having to relocate schools. Completely the worst experience for a child to go through feeling unheard, unseen and unsupported. Truly awful at best. Base is an absolute joke and the staff are so dang rude to parents and kids. Also very limited base slots so dont count on being allowed in.Parent Review7mo ago30 Reviews - Check out schools near 18645 E Stroh Rd #5.

" We have lived here for 16 years and we have a very close knit community. We even have had progressive dinners and celebrate in the cul-de-sac during summer holidays like Memorial Day and the Fourth of July with potluck dinners. Our neighbors are always willing to pitch out and help in a time of need. They walked my dogs for me when I had my shoulders replaced in my knees replaced even without being asked they actually asked me if they could do it for me."

"We have lived here for almost 17 years and have great friends who live here as well. Everyone is very friendly and dog friendly also. One of my favorite things to do is walking my dogs in our neighborhood I have met so many wonderful people this way. My other favorite past time is gardening and I share that love with several neighbors."

"Teens and new cars...priveledged, stinkers. Beware! we had a few situations of new teen drivers being wreckless in the neighborhood. but luckily the neighborhood is tight knit and we are all aware of the bad seeds and their wreckless schedules. "
