Current owners are moving due to job offer, but otherwise love this house where they have welcomed their two young children. Note that this house was professionally tested and is lead free. West Falls metro is 1 mile away. Home is located on an elevated lot in a calm and friendly neighborhood with a mix of families and retirees. The lot itself is amongst the largest in the area and the backyard is fully fenced, which affords more privacy than most, and it has two mature trees (great shade in the summer) and many beautiful species of flowering plants. Finishing off the outdoors is a playset for the kids and large shed that can easily fit yard equipment, bbq and all of the family's bikes. Heading indoors, our friends often say the house is much bigger inside than one would think from the outside. Original oak hardwoods have been kept throughout the main level, and the English basement is open concept and fully finished, which essentially doubles the official size of the house (since square footage only applies to above ground). Finally, the fact that the house is made of bricks really does a great job of keeping it warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

    "I lived and worked in the Tyson's Corner area and LOVED it! I lived in the Fountains of McLean, which was in easy walking distance to just about everything. With quick access to the metro, bus, and, (soon to be) via the metro, the airport, there really is no reason to drive (and fight that DC traffic). If you do need to drive, Tyson's is the place to be as you can get get to just about everywhere in the DC area without getting jammed on 95/495 traffic. The the extra "no commute time" I was able to enjoy all the local amenities my condo had including the pool and - due to location - Tyson's Corner shopping and restaurants. Last (but not least), the Fountains of McLean was one of those rare condos that not only allowed pets but had lots of space for the ol' doggo to get his daily walk. Finally, although I didn't have any myself, I have heard that the school system in McLean is second to none! I miss you already, Fountains of McLean!"

    "It’s safe and upscale. Best school zone in Virginia. Tyson’s corner is just 5min drive and both DCA and IAD air ports are with in 30min drive. DC is just 20minutes away as well. "
