7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy largest issue is that it's kinda small and I cannot find others with same interests and barely anyone with the same ethnicity, yeah it may sound like a politically biased "issue" but really what I'm trying to say is that I can't really fit my personal puzzle into groups (since it's niche) because of it's size (this should be fixed in the future since this is a fast growing development by the way), other than that; I moved here for educational opportunity and because family members live close by, the last time I have ever touched Abilene was in winter 2011 in order to visit family members which means that I never grew up/got to know anyone prior at all. Despite differences in personality and opinion, I feel very welcomed and a lot more comfortable than my last school. They have helped me catch up into this new and amazing educational system after leaving a corrupt and failed education system; yeah it's taking months, but I do really feel like I am really learning! The homework policy is very reasonable since it reviews what you need to understand (as it fits all learning types) and the people are very helpful in helping you through your troubles of understanding the material. Overall, the school is amazing but I nicked off one star since it's too adapted into people who already live here (don't worry, they don't bully "outsiders" at all) and because it's socially boring for a niche person (like myself) which pushes you to go to the internet to talk to people which isn't good in the 2010s especially with less niches online (the last resort). "My neighborhood is a pretty quiet suburb. Need a Grocery store or Dollar General . Have to travel 19 miles to one side of town or the other for a grocery store. "

"We love this neighborhood because it is right outside of the hustle and bustle but still very close to everything. The building g of the new Wylie schools down the road will make this area even more desirable. "

"The neighborhood is quiet and calm, set in a country type atmosphere. The lots are spacious, anywhere from 1/2 acre to 7 acres. There are horse ranches nearby! At night the stars can easily be seen, the view not impeded by the city lights. And often deer can be seen running through the neighborhood! And despite being considered in the city, the cluster of the city is a few miles north. The neighborhood ISD is Wylie. Locally known for exemplary schools. This is a great place to raise a family!!!"

"We moved in August 2012 and love it. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and low traffic. You only have a 2-7 minute drive to a gas station, grocery store, etc. Its easy to hop on the freeway and get to the mall. People driving in the area are cautious of children, pets, pedestrians since there are no side walks. Its a Denis the Menace type of neighborhood where everyone is friendly and you never have to look your doors. Its also very aesthetically pleasing, there are a lot of new homes out here, and unless sod hasnt been placed yet, everyone keeps their yards trimmed and neat. We couldnt be happier!"

"Can't imagine why this area gets high marks from other reviewers. There are 0 schools, 0 parks, 0 restaurants/shopping, no places to park except on street, 0 nightlight. It's dirty, trashy, weed-infested. No sidewalks. No community partnerships to clean the area. Kids drive motor vehicles without license up and down the roads as parents watch. Many homes have 6+ cars parked in driveway and on the street. 35 year old trees never been pruned, thinned or raised. Plenty of expensive trucks, most houses have 2-4 TV dishes, lots of boats parked on street or between houses. Money to spend on toys, but none to spend on taking care of house investment. Still, it's pretty much a safe place. Keep things locked up and you shouldn't have any crime problems. Just don't expect your property values to increase because this area is in a nose-dive when it comes to keeping homes in good condition."
