3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is trash from the top to the bottom. My children that attend this “learning” facility are honor students and multi sport athletes so it doesn’t matter who you, no “educational” authority here cares about your child’s future. Everyone here is just there for a paycheck. I have seen multiple principals and assistant principals come and go and none have done anything to improve this place for our kids. It saddens me as a parent because there is so much potential in so many of the kids that go to this school, but the lack of education and direction from the “leadership” of this ridiculous place they call a school is just flat out disgusting. I pray that someone soon can turn this school around. God bless all the parents that have to send their precious babies to this school.Parent Review2y ago10 Reviews - Terrell High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnless you're in dual credit or AP classes, my surrounding classmates were cheaters, and the teachers would never say anything; it was annoying to complete assignments. A lot of vandalism and kids smoking THC, and vapes, and kids got away with smoking in the classroom if they were sneaky enough. I've had to sit down during lockdown for almost 1.5 hours after school, and the teachers would never tell us because they like to keep everything hush. At one point, a kid brought a gun to school and was never reported to the parents. So you wouldn't even know if something happened to your kid until it's too late. I recall seeing a special ed student thrown off the west campus stairs, but no teacher or guardian was present. In addition, two special education students would often fight each other in the restrooms. It was amusing to see their fight videos at the time, but I'm pretty sure they were supposed to be supervised or something. I'm not sure. I am a class of 2022, and at the time when I was a senior, I considered myself lucky to be away from the freshmen and sophomores because they were rude to teachers and other people, THEY HAVE NO RESPECT.Parent Review9mo ago12 Reviews - J W Long Elementary School

"Terrell is absolutely horrible for the amount of stray dogs and cats, along with a huge number of people dumping their animals. As an animal lover, it absolutely breaks my heart. "

"Some neighborhoods in Terrell do not have sidewalks or are unkept and are in my opinion too unsafe for children to walk to school. It is also not uncommon to see stray dogs roaming the streets with the potential of them being aggressive. "

"Some dogs roam freely though there is high traffic and speeders through the neighborhood. City ordinances regarding registration and other requirements can be expensive and intrusive. Local vet clinics are the most inadequate and insensitive we have come in contact with."

"It's the arm pit of TX. No one lives here by choice. It's like quick sand. It sucks you in by force and pulls you under so you can never leave. The only positive is Jamie Fox grew up here."

"This city has some really bad area's and some ok one's too. Not the worst town. North side of Terrell is more country feel and nicer area. South side of railroad tracks at night is not a safe area"
