2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child goes to this school and I have to say I am extremely happy with the teachers and the principal. I have heard awful things about this school and was nervous to send my child here. The school is great and my son loves it. His teachers are very nice and helpful. Great communication. This school has gotten such a bad reputation. I do not have a bad thing to say about this school. I know a lot of other parents who feel the same as I do. The school is clean. Everyone is nice (principal, security, people who work in the main office, etc)Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Ps 81 Jean Paul Richter

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBest elementary school in Ridgewood. Had my son at 239Q and it was a total nightmare. He has an IEP for a self-contained setting and has made incredible progress. Principal Diamond is the best and has chosen excellent, knowledgeable and supportive staff in her school. Highly recommendParent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Is 93 Ridgewood

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had a horrible experience at this school. They’re telling my niece who is currently a student that I was a monster. My niece knows what was actually going on behind the scenes so how dare they try to change the narrative and destroy my character. I was being bullied and they did nothing!Other Review2y ago5 Reviews - Learners And Leaders

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYour kid will not get a good education here. Not a week goes by that my kid doesnt miss some kind of class. Your kid will be watching movies or on Ipads or listening to the teacher gossip about other teachers or doing baby homework.Parent Review6y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 1818 Bleecker St.

"Schools everywhere within walking distance. Trains within walking distance but it’s an urban community, one should expect lots of noise and the hustle and bustle."

"When I used to live there, my commute was pretty manageable. I usually took the bus or drove, and it took about minutes/hours each way. I got used to the routine and planned ahead to avoid delays. And the commute feel safe and comfortable "

"The neighborhood is so dirty. There is trash everywhere. You need to constantly be on alert to what your dog may step in or put in their mouth. "

"There is no train nearby, to find a train you have to walk at least 10 minutes, or take a bus to the train. But you need to have bus schedule handy because the bus is very slow since it’s on a very busy avenue and makes every single stop on the route to pick up and drop off passengers. "
