  • Trulia User
"Quiet, clean and friendly place. Farmers market every weekend and having the university in town adds a certain creative energy that’s fresh and energized "
  • Trulia User
"it's a great place to raise a family and an awesome community you can't really find a bad area of davis anyehere "
  • Trulia User
"People in the area walk their dogs on the sidewalks and seem welcome. Due to the large number of apartments in the area dog ownership skews heavily towards the smaller side it seems."
  • Trulia User
"Good city just too expensive. You get what you paid for. If you hate driving and like riding bikes it’s perfect. If you like to drive you’re going to hate all the bike lanes."
  • Isaac L.
"Davis has many dog parks, Neighborhoods are safe and not noisy. I moved here because of its family oriented nature, activities, nice schools district "
  • Holly_chamberlain
"I grew up in what is now called Central Davis. (Born 1967, graduated Davis High 1985, graduated UCD 1989 and moved to Bay Area). It was an idealic childhood. I walked to Elementary school and biked to Intermediate, Junior High, and High School. We knew all our neighbors on the cul-de saq our house was on. Yes, where ever there were rentals to college students there were issues - parties, noise, messy houses - but if you get a house on a street with out college studends, it was/is an awesome community. My parents lived there until just this year. Same house - and had many of the same neighbor/friends for 40+ years."
  • Kortney A. C.
"its not. sorry nothing special. people don't know how to drive, or cycle, or walk. too many dogs off the leash, putting the dogs in danger. "
  • Mlpartyka007
"I’ve lived here for 6 years and have loved it. The neighbors are friendly but not pushy. We walk our dog every night and are always greeted with waves and smiles. We’ll miss it. "
  • Mlpartyka007
"Generally single family homes with wide streets, mature trees, and friendly neighbors. We’ve been told by friends that they covet our location!"
  • Danuta
"you have to have a high level of intelligence to truly understand and appreciate the quality of life spent here at academy lane. the interesting and subtleties that go into the effort done by management go a long way. "
  • Danuta
"what makes this neighborhood unique are trains, a park and double decker buses. great town. safe place."
