"35 minutes to boulder 50 minutes to denver, 15 minutes to nederland and 18 minutes to Eldora ski mountain "
  • Etnakid
"We back up to national forest and can take beautiful hikes, cycle, and snow-shoe from our house. We can also walk to town for food, drinks, and entertainment. "
  • Etnakid
"Great sense of community. Kids seem to love their school, and they do some really cool projects. Ned has lots of indoor and outdoor diversions for kids and adults. "
  • Etnakid
"Nederland is a great little town if you love nature and the outdoors. Nice little breweries, restaurants and shops and the most helpful neighbors I’ve ever met. "
  • Etnakid
"Kids are treated with kindness and respect here, and they learn to respect others. Lots of opportunities for outdoor activities, including cycling, skating, fishing, skiing and hiking. Only thing lacking is a swim team, but that can be found down the hill in Boulder. Our winters are not for the faint of heart. Be ready for long snowy winters and with strong winds if you move here. "
  • Etnakid
"We’ve lived in Nederland for three years. Town is tiny, but all of the basics are available. People help one another and are generally kind. Bus is free for those needing to go to Boulder. Flora and fauna are amazing. Don’t move here without AWD and snow tires, a healthy respect for wildlife and the environment, and lots of winter hobbies. Winters are long and snowy. Please note that most residents haul their own trash to the nearby transfer station, and need to pick up their mail at the post office. No mail delivery. "
  • Africat23211
"The people and the local shops and restaurants. The unique feel and beautiful surroundings. No place else like it anywhere "
  • peggy p
"there is no dog park which is 'ruff' pups are welcome everywhere ...on a leash. my guy wants to play and run and has to go all the way into Boulder to play and be a dog safely with other dogs. "
  • Brennen M.
"Great access to trail system and a quick walk to town. Do not let your dog off leash on the road. There are blind curves and people drive fast sometimes."
  • Kimberly H.
"It’s friendly and welcoming. The scenery is breathtaking. There is abundant wildlife. Plenty of community functions and places to gather "
  • Maxwelltoast
"backdoor theater, skate park, very nice brewing, the caribou room has international acts come through and its going to be my future rave."
  • Tesergo
"I live here and love it. I want to stay here. Neighborhood is amazing anywhere. However, we are suffering from a growth spurt. People are frustrated."
  • Bruce C.
"Nederland is a great little mountain community, just 30 minutes from Boulder. Local skiing, full grocery store, lots restaurants and shops. Open space everywhere."
