Welcome to The Townhouse at Devonshire a special place with a story. As the owners, we've recently taken over management from McNiece Management to offer a more personal and hands-on experience. Whether you're seeking a cozy retreat near MD Anderson Cancer Center or a sophisticated getaway for your family, we are committed to providing a welcoming, convenient, and serene space that meets all your needs.
Our home features a spacious primary bedroom with a king bed, private bathroom, and two large walk-in closets. Additional guest rooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements and private workspaces, with the expansive third-floor suite boasting a king bed, a pullout queen memory foam mattress, a 65" smart TV, a work area, and a full bath. Enjoy premium bedding, Revive eastern king hybrid mattresses, and smart TVs in all rooms. Families will appreciate amenities like a crib, changing table, toys, books, and safety gates. The living room, with five recliners and a gas fireplace, and the dining room, which seats six, are perfect for gatherings. Our modern kitchen, with Cambria quartz countertops and new appliances, makes cooking delightful.
We are dedicated to keeping the space updated and well-maintained, with a recent refresh that added a 60-amp Level 2 Tesla universal EV charger and an elegant hardwood staircase and second-floor hallway, among several other improvements. Stay connected with Xfinity gigabit internet on an Eero mesh WiFi network. Each floor has its own thermostat, and the HVAC system is cleaned annually for a healthy environment. Additional practical amenities include a Dyson vacuum, a remote-controlled third-floor skylight, a new HVAC and water heater, a Weber grill with spare propane, bikes, scooters, board games, a Bose soundbar, Christmas decorations for the holidays, and a second-floor laundry.
Inspired by a cherished family residence in Alexandria, Virginia, our townhouse is filled with treasured artwork and mementos from our many military moves, creating a haven designed to offer comfort and peace. As owners who understand the importance of proximity to MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are always available to answer any questions you might have before booking. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we look forward to making your stay a memorable and cozy experience.
Parking in our neighborhood is quite limited. The HOA restricts neighborhood parking spots to short-term guests. If you're staying for 24 hours or more, you'll need a permit, which we're happy to provide. Our garage can fit two vehicles but has limited space (18' wide, 19' deep), so large SUVs and trucks might not fit. Not to worry, though there is street parking available about 100 meters away on Woodbury Street.
We'd love to host your furry friends! We welcome up to two dogs, each up to 50 lbs. Please send us photos and breed information before your stay. While we cherish pets and understand their role in the healing process, we do reserve the right to decline pet requests to keep our space a peaceful sanctuary for everyone. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $500 for your stay. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate pets over 50 lbs.
Our lease terms are designed to provide you with a worry-free and inclusive living experience, similar to what you'd expect in a short-term rental stay. Here's what is included in your monthly rent and our key policies:
Lease Duration: We offer a month-to-month lease with a minimum stay of one month, providing flexibility for those needing proximity to MD Anderson Cancer Center or looking for a comfortable temporary home.
Flexible Extensions: If you need to extend your stay, we offer flexible terms and can accommodate extensions on a day-to-day basis. We only require a 48-hour notice before departure for added convenience.
Fully Furnished Home: The townhouse comes fully furnished, including all bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture, as well as kitchenware, linens, and basic supplies like cleaning products, laundry detergent, and toilet paper.
Utilities Included: All major utilities are covered, including electricity, water, gas, and high-speed Xfinity gigabit internet with an Eero mesh WiFi network.
Maintenance Support: We offer 24/7 maintenance support to address any issues promptly and without additional cost to you.
Trash and Recycling Services: Standard trash and recycling services are included, with regular pickup scheduled for your convenience.
Pet Policy: We welcome pets with a $500 non-refundable pet fee per stay, which covers deep cleaning of all carpets upon departure. We do ask that you clean up after your pets, especially in our small but inviting backyard.
Parking: Parking is available in the garage and street parking is readily accessible. There's a 60-amp Level 2 Tesla universal EV charger available in the garage.
No Smoking Policy: For the health and comfort of all tenants, smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the townhouse.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of $1000 is required to cover potential damages or unpaid rent. This will be returned at the end of your stay, provided the property is left in good condition.
No Additional Fees: There are no hidden fees for amenities or utilities everything is included in your rent.
Tenant Responsibilities: We ask tenants to keep the property clean and report any maintenance issues promptly. Trash should be taken out no more than 8 hours before collection (6pm the day before), and bins must be brought back in immediately following pickup.
Tenant Screening Criteria: In compliance with Texas Property Code Section 92.3515, we disclose our tenant selection criteria at the time you are provided with a rental application. The grounds for which your rental application may be denied include criminal history, previous rental history, current income, credit history, or failure to provide accurate or complete information on the application form.
