Our child went to this school's dual language program. We as parents were so excited to have him enrolled in this program, we feel dual language is a very important language skill to have. UNFORTUNATELY, this school's program is not designed to teach English speakers Spanish. The English-speaking kids are only there to support and help the Spanish speakers learn English. If you are not a dual-speaking home your child will not learn Spanish in this program. They bypass English speakers' ability to pick up Spanish so quickly that your child will have no hope of learning Spanish. They teach to the Spanish kids. Our child is a high achiever academically and is also in the Gifted program. FYI

Absolute terrible school. Wouldn't step a foot back in there if you paid me. The whole staff is so disrespectful. Apparently its just gotten worse since I graduated.

First of all, I understand that each parent will have a different experience when it comes to their school. I have had a very positive experience with Bayside. My son is a 6th grader in one of Honor's classes. It has been more than 5 months since he started here, and we have seen nothing short of full respect and caring by the administrators and his teachers. Starting from the principal Mr. Thomas, who stays after the class dismissal till the last student leaves, I love the enthusiasm of the staff I see at Bayside! My son loves school there. He talks very highly about his teachers as well. As a parent, I have always been greeted with respect as well.Lastly, what I noticed is that for those kids who actually are interested even a little in learning something, there is definitely a working&learning environment.
