"There is no unsafe area of Brunswick. I have taken late night walks with my dog downtown almost every night for the last year and have never seen something that made me feel in danger. "

"Dogs are welcome. People are always walking them and always cleaning up after their own. This neighborhood has mainly lap sized dogs."

"I’ve lived here for three years. At first I wasn’t happy because it wasn’t my choice to live here. But after about two year of living here, I have fallen in love with this small town. I feel safe and I am able to walk around at 3 am with no worries. I love to explore. I always seem to be discovering new nooks and crannies everyday. There’s always something new, even when I feel like I have seen it all. The restaurants are nice and the people are usually lovely. Little Tokyo is something you must try while you are here! (As long as you’re a Japanese food lover) If you are deciding on coming to Brunswick, I say go for it. It will be worth your while."

"Walking your dog in the neighborhood is a wonderful way to visit with your neighbors. There are very few cars so most of the time you can just walk in the road. Everyone picks up after their dogs."

"I have no children, but schools seem good. The Rec center has many summer and winter programs. Apparently, I need to write more to have my comments accepted."

"For some reason we have a lot of traffic in our neighborhood, but otherwise, it's lovely. Also, Coffin School is great but looks rundown - they have a great head teacher and they put the interests of the kids first. HBS is more rule oriented and is far too big for an elementary."

"Close to everything, yet very peaceful, mature neighborhood. Elementary and Junior High schools are a few minutes walk from the house. High school is less than 2 miles, with bus stop 2 houses down. Police, fire, groceries, train and bus stations are all within 1 mile. "

"The houses are not close together because of the large lots so there is a spacious feeling. There are many trees and greenery. The traffic is minimal because there are no major thoroughfares and no reason to go to this neighborhood unless you live there. There are very good public schools easy to walk to or ride a bike: elementary, middle and jr.high. Bowdoin College adjoins this neighborhood."
