It is a great school in the Kingwood area.

Deerwood Elementary is a school where if you are not part of the PTA, a room Mom or the snobby socialites then you are treated as such. The clicks are so bad from teachers to parents to students, again if you are not in a click you are a nobody. The Principal and the Vice Principal are jokes and favor who they like and which parents they like, instead of actually caring and doing what is right. My daughter was bullied by her Kindergarten teacher, instead of taking care of the problem the only solution was to change her class. Instead that teacher gets moved up to a higher grade! Then she was bullied by girls and the Principals didn’t do a fair investigation and only asked the students that were accused of bullying. Again the solution was to move class rooms even after she went to her teacher to discuss the problem and was brushed off. Sad excuse of leadership and allowing people to have a voice. Pathetic representation of education and wouldn’t recommend this school whatsoever.

RMS provides excellent academics. The teachers are outstanding. Unfortunately, administration cares very little for the experience and needs of students who are well behaved, polite, and responsible; if you have this kind of kid, expect them to be essentially used to try to mitigate disruptive/disrespectful students. All decisions are made with those kids in mind, your kid is just there to serve the terrible ones. They are catered to while the well behaved kids are neglected.
