About this House
This rustic country cabin is a cozy home with everything you need. Perfect for the winter outdoor enthusiast,it is right on the snowmobile trail and is near many other ski and snowmobile areas. It is fully furnished so please come with minimal belongings. It is small but room for 2 adults and pets. This property also has access to an outbuilding library ,meditation room. It has a fire pit and fire tub for a nice outdoor bath in the winter! We rough it up here,so if you are looking for a glamorous refuge for the winter,this is not it. You must be physically able to maintain the snow in the winter and running a tractor for plowing is a must. We can teach you. We have a wood stove to save on propane and to have incase of power outages. The winters are very harsh here as we live in the woods on the mountain. Neighbors are near but not right next door. This short term rental is perfect for those who are looking for a winter rental or between moves. You may use it as a winter getaway as well. We do not have the luxuries like laundry and dish washer but no need! There is a great laundromat in nearby Dalton. We will be in Florida for 4 months and will be returning the end of March and this is why we leave many of our personal items which you are free to use. The home will be professionally cleaned before we leave . We are looking for a responsible and trustworthy person to stay in our home and embrace the beauty of our land and home while lightly maintaining it while we are gone. So,think of it as somewhat of a trade where we both benefit. We own 6 acres of land and quite remote so any candidate must be ok with that. We have close friends that will be checking in to see if you need anything and we are just a phone call away. We invite you to come and see our home and discuss details. The Berkshires is a "premare cultural destination : with many attractions nearby. We highly recommend a front wheel or 4 wheel drive as you may never leave the mountain with out it! lol We do not allow drugs of any kind and if you smoke,it must be done outside at all times. Of course,you may invite company but please..no "long term guests" or large,loud parties. This is a place of solitude and beauty and we want someone who will respect our land as we do.
