Many of the teachers are so unprofessional. They are completely unapproachable for extra help. You have to make an appointment to use the library??? There is actually a Tik Tok video poking fun at how unapproachable and unavailable the staff is. I've never seen a school where it was acceptable for the teachers to make fun of students in front of other students and be disrespectful. It appears after their covid hiatus they don't want to teach any more. It's sad. My child is an honors students who loved school and wanted to teach. Now she dreads getting out of bed in the morning. The school is completely inbred. All the teachers, counsellors, and parents know each other. The new history teacher has taught ONE lesson this year (because his supervisor was there that day). Is there even a curriculum anymore? Is it ok to tell your class you were 12 when you "came out" and that our Founding Fathers were monsters? I wish I had another option.

Knowlton Elementary (KTES) is a great little school in rural NJ. We had no issues during the school years there. Teachers provided in-depth information about student's performance and suggestions for how to challenge with more rigorous academics in the coming years. Kuddos to the VP who maintains a positive attitude each day and is engaged year-to-year. We do not have personal experiences with special education in this school, but I know they can typically offer push-in help for all subjects in older grades there. Class sizes are very small, and they seem to cater to the needs of all levels. I especially liked the little extras they offer like Amped (walking/running before school on Thursday mornings) or school bingo event. The physical education teacher was onsite early these days for kids to get a little activity in before school started. Miles were tracked and acknowledged throughout the school year. It's another example of the staff's dedication at KTES.
