"Overbearing association. Other pet owners let their dogs create a nuisance. There are board members that absolutely don’t follow the rules."
  • Alicyn L.
"Have the oldest Memorial day parade in the country. the very first one in the country. Very well attended. "
  • Infinitdream
"I’m not a parent so I won’t speculate on what parents find important. The area is one of the safest in all of Pennsylvania. "
  • ljones0670
"I grew up in Buckingham. It used to be mostly farmland. People are polite, clean, quiet, and law abiding. New hope and Doylestown are close by."
  • Ohxalina
"I have no idea I don’t live in a neighborhood but we all have land to let our dogs play. So that’s pretty great"
  • Dmitri M.
"Perfect school district. Not so far from city. Very Quite neighborhood. Good shared pool. But too strict rules"
  • Chris D.
"Furlong is an enclave in the Doylestown area of suburban Philadelphia close to Princeton, NJ and only 1 and half hours' drive to New York City. Downtown Philadelphia is an hours' drive away. Philadelphia International Airport is an hour away, and Newark Airport 1 hour 15 minutes' drive. JFK airport is a 2 hours' drive, Washington, DC is 3 hours. Furlong is a quiet area with several newer developments (mostly 10-15 years old or less)carved out of farmland, so plenty of greenery, horses, cattle, and some wildlife (deer etc). Downtown Doylestown with all its attractions is only 5 to 10 minutes by car. Overall good shopping and recreational facilities, including the highly regarded and quaint Peddlar's Village in nearby Lahaska (15 mins minutes away). Vey low crime rate; very safe area. 20 minutes to the PA turnpike. Great School District (Central Bucks East; my 3 kids all got into top colleges including IVY League, having gone through the middle and high schools). People are generally nice, in an Eastern Pennsylvania way; you won't find "southern" type hospitality, but overall respectable, well-meaning, and good-natured folks out here. Proximity to NYC as well as downtown Philly are a huge plus. Good health care amenities (Doylestown hospital was recently ranked 2nd in the NATION among like-sized suburban hospitals for cardiac care, out of ~5000 hospitals, if that's any indication...)."
  • Michael W. A.
"This area is really beautiful with plenty of open spaces. Properties are nicely spaced out so you can be neighborly but not live on top of each other. The elementary school is within easy walking distance"
  • lisa s.
"Great area for families, retirees, anyone who loves a beautiful area with lots of fun things to do."
  • Betsys64
"This is an almost idylic neighborhood. When at home I feel like I am vacation. Fresh, quiet and beautiful. Neighbors are helpful and friendly."
