About this House

For the past 13+ years we have been fortunate to live on a wonderful park at 18 Highview Street in Needham. Its rare these days to live in a neighborhood where the many children in the neighborhood can comfortably play together while parents sit on the front steps hearing laughs and seeing smiles as the children roam the park free to play. Riverside Park was redone within the past 5 years with new swings and play structures. The Town of Needham cares for the park with an irrigation system and frequent grass mowing. From our home with a wall of windows over the park we can walk to Panera Bread for a breakfast coffee with our children or a soup at dinner. Mom and Dad can also walk down the street to Starbucks for a coffee or Chipotle or the Soup Factory for a meal. Each morning our children walk from the front door to the school bus that stops in front of our house for Eliot School, a new elementary school in the Top Rated Needham School District – what could be easier. On the weekends we relax in our own quiet oasis where we look out with no interruption over the park in the front or open space with trees in the back. In the evening we venture off in just minutes to the great shopping which is Needham St, The Street Chestnut Hill, Needham Center or Legacy Place – all less than 10 mins from our home by car. During the week we take advantage of the location’s easy access to Boston – its ¼ mile to Route 128 and thus 20 minutes to Logan or Boston and just 5 mins to either the Newton Highlands Greenline or Needham Height Commuter Train or 12 minutes to the Route 128 Westwood train station to NY or Boston. Now as our children have grown we look for the next family to care for our wonderful home that has brought us much fortune.

"I really do love my area that I live then I do walk my dog I do clean up after myself but sometimes there be some people who do not and they will leave feces but I've just learned to just pay attention to my surroundings and pay attention to the individuals that don't walk with bags"
  • Jjmitchell85
"Living n Needham and commuting to the city is very straight forward. The rail line is dedicated to the Needham commuter rail, the line ends/originated in Needham, and there are 4 stops in the small town. I walk 5min from my house to the train and get off at back Bay to walk just another 5min to my office. Delays are limited due to the fact that this rail line only serves the Needham line."
  • Bobsled
"Block parties, kids outside, dad/mom nights, walk to school, general sense of security, community, and care. "
  • Andrew M.
"July 4th fireworks, Memorial Day parade, neighborhood/block parties, and other events. Farmers Market. "
