Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from December 12, 2023
This newly renovated home has a unique layout and charming design which make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish living space in Mountain View. The gourmet kitchen is furnished with all new stainless steel appliances, which include double wall ovens, dishwasher, induction cooktop and refrigerator. The new cabinets are topped with granite counters. The main bedroom is spacious and well-appointed with built-in shelving that provides ample storage space for books, decorations, and other personal items. Bonus feature is the large storage area above the closet which is perfect for storing suitcases and other bulky items. The second bedroom is cozy and comfortable with Shoji screen doors that provide privacy and add a touch of oriental style to the room. My favorite feature is the gorgeous Hawaii grown & milled ¾" tongue & groove eucalyptus hardwood floors throughout. Open beam ceiling throughout give this home a large airy feel. New sliding glass doors lead to the rear lanai area and provides an abundance of natural light. Its also where the laundry is conveniently located. The detached office on the upper lanai deck is a versatile addition to the property, with many possible uses. It could serve as a quiet workspace for someone who works from home, a place for kids to do their homework, or even as a guest room. The upper deck stairway that leads down to the basement is also a valuable feature. With a full cement slab in place, the basement could be used for a variety of purposes, from storage to a workshop to a home gym. The locked storage room is perfect to store seasonal decorations, gardening tools, or ocean toys. And the half bathroom is a convenient amenity. You'll enjoy the back yard with lots of flowering plants and native trees. And the fenced front yard is a great space for pets to run and play. Mountain View is a quaint little drive-thru town with a post-office, bakery and Coffee shop.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy concern is the bullying, especially by other students as well as unqualified teachers and aides who are not equipped to properly handle the special needs student.I served as a school crossing guard for eight years after I retired, and it was always the special needs child that was made fun of, and bullied. Schools need to protect these special students. It can't happen a minute too soon.Wilma LewisI hope this is at the top of the agenda.Other Review8y ago - Mountain View Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile I am grateful to have graduated from high school, I can't say I'm proud to have graduated from this one. My experience at Keaau High involved frequent exposure to schoolyard brawls, administrative apathy, and laughable courses.I took a woodworks class in which the teacher was so lenient that we spent most of the time cleaning the woodshop, and I learned nothing from that class. I once got harassed by that class' students so severely that I transferred to an art class.I remember how defiant students smeared the bathroom walls with graffiti, and I can't recall the school ever removing the unsightly "art." Not to mention that the school cranked the AC to an intensely high level.I liked a few teachers at that school, a couple of whom I still contact from time to time. But most teachers at the time were either too ineffective or too indifferent for me to remember fondly.Primarily, I felt like Keaau High didn't challenge its students enough and didn't do enough to allow students to be more pro-social.Given that my experience was back in the 00s, a lot has likely changed. I sure hope so, because I wouldn't want a child going to that school if it is still anything like it was back then!Parent Review1y ago - Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino
