"Traffic is light and city does a good job of guidance of traffic. Plenty of cross walks and pedestrian walking signs "
  • Mechelie R.
"Lots of people have dogs here. Most everyone likes animals around here so it does not seem to be a big deal. "
  • Jean S.
"People gather at the pond and have community. There’s also lots of support for neighbors and each other’s interest "

  • 24martinez.sarah
"Plenty of bus stops, we have the best school district especially for elementary, cottonwood. Everyone looks out for each other, I’d leave state if I had to leave our neighborhood. "
  • 24martinez.sarah
"Animal control calls for excessive barking. No one has anything better to do than pick on people. They’d love the trails and outdoor fun there is to be had. "
  • Kevin K.
"youth appreciation day. one Saturday in August the town put on a bunch of fun events that are completely free for kids. things like putt putt golf, swimming, and much more. "
  • Mary M.
"I love my community. my neighbors are quite most of the time. my home insulated so as long as my windows are closed we hear very little.of course we are old so most of us don't hear great anyway. The park is beautiful but I never see anyone using it. kids ride their bikes back and forth so they are using it. I just never hear anything from the park."
  • Mary M.
"we have a nice peaceful park at the end of the road. no issues with park at all. it is kept clean and it great for little kids. would like to see something for some of the older kids."
  • Honey
"Walking distance to downtown. There’s great: music venues, brewery’s, distillers, restaurants, farmers markets. Parks biking routes, the river"
  • Robert Leaverton
"Montrose used to be nice, but has become a horrible place to live. Over the last 3 years it has become over populated and over priced."
  • Jolene
" I have lived in Montrose for almost 20 years.. the neighborhood (past 6 years) we live in now is a small quiet subdivision & I know most of our neighbors! Love Montrose"
  • Honey
"People walk their dogs around our neighborhood. I walk mine. There’s only a couple of people with barking dogs. There’s a lot of places to take your dogs, parks, dog parks, hiking and biking trails, cross country skiing."
  • Eric H.
"There are no dogs that run loose. Everybody has their dogs under control. Everybody’s out walking their dogs all of the time. The people here are very friendly."
  • Chris B.
"Very push neighbors about picking up after your dog will stand on front porch and watch you to ensure you do even if you are know to do it "
  • Misty
"We have local bands that play in town. They come together in town square on Saturday mornings. It is really a great thing to watch! I love seeing the kids running around looking at all the booths. "
  • Bootscontractingllc
"Great neighborhood, great neighbors, respectfull and considerate helpful. Local transportation, and easy access to town and all amenities it provides."
  • Eric H.
"Everybody takes care of their property. There are very few cars parked on the street. It is very quiet. Most people have an extra garage that matches their house so they can store all extra vehicles boats or other toys. It keeps the neighborhood looking really nice and clean."
  • Ann S.
"This is a super nice area, very clean, safe and affordable!! Beautiful entry way to neighborhood gives it an upscale feel...not your typical "mobile park" setting. This is truly a neighborhood. with great amenities such as scenic walking paths through vast open space where you can run your dogs, or just enjoy a leisurely walk. There is a playground and also a community center to use for your parties, get togethers and meetings. Snow removal in the winter is included, so it makes it an easy, comfortable place to live, making it easy for families or the perfect lock and leave property! Within 5 minutes or less of downtown. Shopping and all schools are close by. Montrose itself is a clean, safe, comfortable sized community. It has all the amenities you need with a mild climate and 300+ days of sunshine, and yet close to skiing and snow shoeing, biking, hiking, jeeping, camping, and only 5 hours from Denver!...you name it Montrose area has it ! It's a great place to call home!"
  • Danigex
"We are conveniently nestled on the western slope of Colorado between the Rocky and the San Juan mountain ranges. Perfect for everything from Skiing in the Winter to golfing, hiking and fly fishing the rest of the year. "
  • Jessie A. M. G.
"This is a beautiful safe neighborhood to raise children or just retire. Located south of town with shopping and the best elementary school within 2 miles. "
  • durangokid74
"I have lived here since my home was built in '06, and love the quiet and peace of the neighborhood. The views of the mountains are incredible here, especially if you have a home orientation like mine - south, 180-degree span of the east mountains, west Uncompahgre Plateau, and San Juans to the south. Ours is a very friendly street -- we all know each other, but do not impinge on individual privacy. "
