"Good neighborhood to raise children in! I am not a parent but there are many long time families and new families."
  • Trulia User
"Many families who have young children in this area. There has been a few targeted car thefts it seems, but other than that, no crime exists . We have lived in this area since 2018 and no funny business has taken place. Wish the price would be lower. "
  • Trulia User
"it's decent to get around, although the public transportation takes longer than in Denver so you have to plan ahead"
  • Trulia User
"All of the Homes are well maintained and it is pet friendly. YoIt is relatively quiet and friendly. "
  • Jasjusfine
"I used to live in this area for 23 years - it’s pretty nice! The people are mostly friendly and many have dogs. The Mountain View’s are great. You are close to shopping and bus routes if necessary, but a car is essential. You can’t beat the proximity to DIA and Buckley & it is easy access to all highways. I would say one of the better neighborhoods in Aurora. "
  • Carolyn M.
"In our court we’ve gotten together on the 4th we help each other with snow removal and lawn care. We even help each other work on cars to repair or maintenance "
  • MsNina
"There are no community events to make my neighborhood special. It’s every man for himself in this neighborhood. "
  • John W.
"It's a beautiful place to live next to mountains. You can enjoy the nature and its beauty here in Aurora Highlands. I am pretty sure I will never move."
  • John W.
"Having a dog might be hard just for the cold environment, but anyways, it's a great place to live."
  • John W.
"My parents love it here -- they are raised here too."
  • Liyah S.
"Aurora highlands are very unique -- but one thing that is especially unique is the diversity in this area is very complex and makes you feel at home."
  • Liyah S.
"There is a park down the street you can take your dogs to so they might like that."
  • Pat G.
"Very close to public transportation and many shopping centers within only 2-3 miles."
  • Pat G.
"There are open fields for them to walk their dogs. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any dog parks for the dogs to roam freely."
  • Pat G.
"At times the commute can be much. Traffic can be highly jammed during rush hour, however outside of those times, the drive is not bad. The ability to get from one part to another is rather quick and pleasant."
  • Pat G.
"There are a lot of parks and trails for bike riding. Also there are many schools to choose from that are in the Cherry Creek school district."
  • Bill J.
"It is very beautiful. It has a lot of things to do. It's far from the city, but not too small."
  • Cathy K.
"Although we live in a suburb, the neighborhood feels like it is small. Each of our neighbors look out for one another. Aurora Highlands cares about the cleanliness of their streets and yards. We also have bike/walking trails nearby."
  • Cathy K.
"There are plenty of streets to take a walk with your pet. One thing I don't like, is when the dog owner does not clean up after their pet. As well as having the pet roam the entire yard that is not their home. Overall, I enjoy watching the pets walking with their owners past my house. You get to know them as many of them take the same sidewalk each day."
  • Bill J.
"If you are coming from inside the neighborhood, the commute is a breeze. If you're coming from outside, then it can be hectic."
  • Cathy K.
"The main street is the busiest during school hours. The road that has two schools on it is busy around 4pm when school is in session and sometimes on the weekends for sports. There are several different entrances and exits so it isn't a problem most days."
  • Cathy K.
"We care about how our neighborhood looks (clean yards), and how we look out for one another. It is a nice neighborhood in the suburbs, but with many city amenities nearby if needed."
  • denver789
"The neighbors here are great, and I go for walks all the time. It is easy access to I-225, which can get you to many locations within 30 minutes. Downtown, DTC, Broomfield, etc.. It can be much longer with traffic, but isn't everything. There are at least 3 supermarkets to choose from very close by."
