"Great city! I love how people are confident to walk at street with their dogs. Parking lots is good and free of worry that will happen something ! "
  • Trulia User
"I have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and seen many changes. Older homes are being torn down and replaced by two on A Lot. I don’t think there’s one house in the neighborhood that sells for less than $800,000. The area is very walkable to grocery stores, retail outlets, a lovely park, and public transportation. The neighborhood is very dog, friendly, but other than that very few neighbors know each other there are no community events "
  • Trulia User
"Northwest Torrance is an amazing neighborhood to raise a family. They have Fourth of July fireworks and also the Armed Forces day parade! "
  • Trulia User
"Great place to live! It’s clean and great area. It’s safe, and very friendly area for people and animals."
  • Trulia User
"Almost everyone has a dog and they are mostly friendly! Everyone does a pretty good job of picking up after their dogs when they walk through the neighborhood"
  • Trulia User
"near the 405 so generally not too bad, but the traffic on the main streets and the 405 after about 3:00 can get way too congested. "
  • Trulia User
"The police and fire department have Santa drive around every year and there are events at nearby Columbia Park. "
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood has great public transportation and is only a 20 minute commute to LAX International Airport, 30 minutes to downtown LA. About four miles to Hermosa Beach. "
  • Trulia User
"Residents stay for the long term, more houses than apartments, crime mostly includes theft and car break ins."
  • Trulia User
"Torrance is a great city to call home. The city is overall maintained very well, with responsive local government, active neighborhood councils and excellent swift responding police and fire departments. The schools here are highly rated. I’m so happy to be able to be close to the city and beaches and live in a great suburban town. "
  • Gary
"great schools, historic and modern shopping, responsive police/ fire, and quiet neighbors. quiet streets and high percentage of homes versus apartments. "
  • Jasmyn M.
