This school does not care about its normal students and only cares for their "AP" side. letting the children grow up acting cocky.

I have nothing but great things to say about this school, and I have never heard anyone else say anything but positive things about it. It is a wonderful place for students to begin their journey. Both of my children went to Bernazanni from kindergarten through 5th grade. I have to say that this school is excellent. The teachers are all talented, experienced, and engaged. And the principal, Mr. Dionne, is amazing -- you can tell from just talking to him outside the building in the morning that he truly cares and runs a great program.I suspect the scores may be lower (if you consider 6/10 "lower) because a solid portion of the students here are from immigrant families and may be English language learners. But if you look at these children in later years as they progress to middle and high school, you'll see that they achieve academic excellence, because the families in this district value education highly, regardless of where they came from. The schools reflect that.One note on English language learners: as a father of two bilingual children who grew up speaking their mother's language first and English second, I know for a fact that Bernazanni puts a lot of effort into engaging and integrating children who don't speak English fluently. My children didn't need the extra help (by the time they entered kindergarten they were fluent in both), but the mere fact that they spoke multiple languages at home resulted in the school paying extra attention to them for the first few years to make sure they had any assistance they might need.I really can't say enough good things about this school.

The school is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful however my honor student was bullied and harassed by her freshman english teacher. Humiliated in front of peers who spoke out about it. I demanded a meeting and the dean was more interested in protecting the teacher. Filled out a bully report thanks to the help of DeChristafaros office who took swift action and removed my child to another class. My issue was this teacher affected my child and family for half the year and she remained teaching there.
