"The neighborhood is a mix of retired people and new families. It’s not as communal as other cities I’ve lived in with many people driving in and out of the community and then staying inside or in their backyard. The gates parks prohibit kids meeting there unless they belong to an association. It’s odd to see a gated park that children cannot play on , meet new kids that live across the street, etc. I’m used to larger cities where there are more public places to gather, meet your neighbors, and create a stronger community."
  • Tadie
"It's the best neighborhood I've lived to raise active, well-adjustef, wholesome kids. Schools all have a ton of activities and kids ride bikes everehere. "
  • Steven Biebel
"Encinitas Christmas parade, art walk, street fair, 4th of July parade and the moonlight beach is very welcoming. "
  • Tadie
"It’s the best place ever to raise a family. Kids can walk to elementary, middle and high school school. "
  • Captaing
"Leucadia Oaks Park is a meeting place for Neighbors. There is a skate park there the beaches only a short walk away."
  • Trulia User
"Great area and great schools. Some great parks and close to the beach. Great for being outside but the hills and lack of sidewalks in areas makes it less walkable than other areas. Package theft does happen and people don’t clean up after their pets well. The rent is also really high around here. "
  • Trulia User
"safe place fun and easy access great temperature and friendly and very clean great restaurant and plenty of parking if needed "
  • Trulia User
"Cardiff is a great place to live for everyone. Great restaurants and seaside market is amazing. The beaches are great too. "
