4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHello! I am a current student, This school is very nice. The teachers here are very wonderful, Most have their own unique teaching skills but they all have one goal which is to make sure their students are not only great in academics but want them to be successful and great kids in general. The adults here care A LOT about safety (sometimes a little too much but who cares). Not all the kids here take middle school seriously however, Some think being fresh out of elementary means they are all grown up and cool and would treat people around them terribly. But then there are also some people who actually not only care about their academics but also the people around them. I’ll say some kids are wonderful and sweet and some are just devilish and plain rude. The lunch is okay, It’s like any ordinary school lunch but I feel like they should make more food that’s suitable for Muslims, As a Muslim myself they make good food but last year almost everyday they would make something I can’t eat and I would have to take those cold sandwiches and I had to wait until they got their halal food certificate again so they can make more halal food. Other than that, This school is really great, There are a lot of kids who are finding out their true self and what they want to do, This school has nice trips sometimes, Has some clubs and programs and etc. This school is a lot about respect, kindness, culture acceptance and etc, Maybe not all the students are like that but definitely most of the teachers. The teachers here are absolutely amazing. 6th grade is definitely the best year ever as all the cool teachers are there like Ms Stoffel, Ms Hassett, Ms Vega, Ms T, Mr Fellahi (literally almost everyone’s fav), Mr Cantor, Mr Hienin, Mr Reyes and etc. I am currently in 7th grade and it is pretty okay, Some teachers are a little scary though, I won’t name drop them but the teachers are pretty chill and cool, I do wanna say 7th grade could be pretty challenging.. Especially with some stress as high schools look at most of your 7th grade grades and scores. The teachers here try their best to prepare us and such. Other than teachers being very nice and understanding, Expect bad things happening with other kids. Constantly here and there, There will be some stupid fights. Bullying happens a lot here and especially on social media too which is pretty stupid as those kids who talk garbage on people on instagram or TikTok or whatever should focus on studying. Anyways this school is cool!Student Review2y ago11 Reviews - Bronx High School For The Visual Arts

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe experience with the teachers and staff were amazing. The only thing I don’t like about this school is that they allow the students to have phones during class and it’s a big distraction. Metal detectors would be a plus alsoParent Review5y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 1735 E Purdy St E #6C.

"It’s a very diverse friendly neighborhood with multiple parks for children to play in. There are a few schools in the are as well. From public to catholic schools. A con for the neighborhood is parking. This area is very close to the MTA 6 train where you can take a short 15 minute ride to the city. "

"I drive to work so my commute is not too bad. When I took the train it wasn’t bad either. The only issue is it has only one line to Parkchester, and if that line is down it may be a little hassle getting home. Ex: crowded trains "
